An Application for the Position of an Assessment Specialist as a Cambridge International
AS&A Level Physics Examiners

I am interested in applying for the position of a Cambridge International AS&A Level

Physics Examiner. I have Experience in teaching Science, Mathematics, Physics (at the
Cambridge Secondary) and Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Computer Science
and ICT (at A Levels).
I am a Master Degree holder (MSc in Computer Science), and a graduate from the
department of Physics in the University of Buea, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science
(Honours) in Physics. I also have an online master’s degree in cyber security and cloud
computing from Edx.org (RITx).
I have over ten (10) years of teaching experience, teaching Cambridge Assessment
International Education curricular and syllabuses. I have taught at Marrif International School
(former Amity International College – Yaoundé), La Gaieté International School – Yaoundé,
Academic College of Excellence Bastos, Yaoundé and Omega Learning High School. I am
currently teaching at Douala Cambridge International School Bonanjo-Douala. For these past
ten (10) years, I have been teaching Physics, Mathematics, Science, Computer science and
Further Mathematics. My students’ results at Cambridge examinations in these schools have
been great.
I am have also been a Physics Examiner at the Advanced Level for Cameroon GCE
Board for three years. I am quick at adapting and have work with people of different
temperaments. My colleagues and students at Amity International College – Yaoundé,
Academic College of Excellence and Douala Cambridge International School come from
different parts of the world. For that reason I can say I have had international experience.
This opportunity will enhance my assessment and teaching ability and give me some
insight on my subject’s matter. It will also provide me with the experience and professionalism
I need to advance in my career.
I am willing to take initiative, hardworking and able to work independently or as an
effective member of a team. From previous experience including my time at Amity
International College – Yaoundé, La Gaieté International School – Yaoundé and Omega High
School, I have learned to take initiative to get the job done in the shortest possible time and
with minimal supervision.
