occasion,/ we are going to the

Social Interaction at Al Azhar
24 Senior High Boarding
School//
Research Methodology

Al-Azhar 24 Senior High

Boarding School is a senior
high school that uses a
boarding system has a
computer and internet access
as a support for learning at
school.
•However, the negative
impact of the internet on
students which also needs
to be considered is the
impact on social interaction
between humans. Since
excessive consumption
turned into an addiction,
students are now less
sensitive and active towards
their relationships with
friends or other human
beings.
One method to overcome the
negative impacts of using the
internet is to limit it.
•This study was made to
know the impact of using
gadgets and internet
restrictions on students of
Al-Azhar 24 and their social
interactions.

In this scientific research,/ we

used a qualitative
methodology/ which consisted
of interviews/ and
observations;// Data collection
techniques/ used are;/ 1) in-
depth interviews;/ collected
data/ through interviews with
informants/ consisting of 8
students,/ and 3 teachers.//
followed by data reduction and
categorization/ to sort the
data/ then display data in the
form of graphs /and the last is
the conclusion
Al-Azhar 24 Senior High
Boarding School is the first
Islamic Boarding School built
by the Al-Azhar Islamic
Boarding School Foundation to
answer the people’s needs for
education which aims to create
a leadership character that has
good morals prioritizes
attitude education, and can
communicate multilingually.
Al-Azhar 24 is located under
the foot of Mount Salak, West
Java.
This school is relatively new
and is currently developing the
5th generation.This school is
based on dormitories so that
students stay at school
continually.
This is the percentage of the
student of al Azhar 24. It is
known that 7 out of 8 students
agreed with internet
restrictions at Al-Azhar 24. As
many as 30% of ten-grade
classes still can't make excuses
for internet addiction.
It takes time slowly until the
students are aware to interact
more with each other.The
remaining 70% of students of
Al-Azhar 24 can manage
internet usage and talk more
often to their friends. So most
of the students interact more
often socially with each other
with internet restrictions.
Conclusion

The restrictions on gadgets and

the internet/ that have been
carried out by Al-Azhar 24
Senior High Boarding School/
have an impact on the lives of
its students. With the
restriction policy,/ students at
this school/ often interact with
each other/ more than
students of their age/ who are
not limited by the internet/
and their gadgets.
That way/, students continue/
to use the internet well /and
can interact with others/who
are more active and qualified.
Future Work

The future work from this

research is to examine further
about gadget and internet
restriction in students, about
the advantages and
disadvantages of
implementing this policy. This
policy is a significant method
to overcome the negative
impact of using the internet on
students.
As we all know that humans
nowaday cannot be separated
from gadgets and the internet,
especially young people, so
finding a good way to use it
wisely is a must.
