Activate Prior Knowledge
ask the class the origin of the following dances:
*Cha-Cha-,Cha,Rumba,Samba,Swing,Jive/Boogie *Tango,Foxtrot,Quickstep,Slow Waltz
Motivation
*Show pictures of different social dances and ask the following questions:
CHA-CHA JIVE/BOOGIE
1.Which of the dances with a basic steps such as rock step, chasse and Alemana Turn?
2.Where can we classify cha-cha dance? Is it Latin American Dance or Modern Standard Dance?
3.What is social dances?
A. Activity
*The Teacher will show the names of different basic steps of cha-cha and with their
corresponding step patterns and counting.
B. Analysis
1. How do you feel the activity?
2.Isn’t the steps of cha-cha simple or difficult? why?
3.What is the common counting in your dance performance?
4.If you were the performer how can you assess the steps in cha-cha?
C. Abstraction
1. Where do people usually perform cha-cha-?
2. What are the things to do to remember while dancing in cha-cha?
3. What is the appropriate attire for male/female for cha-cha dance?
4. What do you think should one possessed to be able to perform the different
movements you and your classmates performed? why?

1. How can social dancing contribute to one’s fitness and well being?
2.Do you agree that through participation in any recreational activities like dancing is one
way to prevent in engaging early pregnancy?
