Directions: Each of the following underlined words can serve as nouns in some sentences, and verbs in
other sentences. Read each sentence and determine whether the underlined word is acting as a noun
or a verb. Write NOUN or VERB on the line following each sentence.

1. Abby used too much glue on her project. _________


2. Cut out the two shapes, and then glue the triangle above the square. _________

3. It takes hours for Janelle to color a picture. She wants it to be perfect! _________

5. “Be sure to bookmark this page so you can easily find it later when you do
