1. Piaget's theory emphasizes thought and schema in development rather than

language. Piaget suggests that language is confined to a child's developmental stage
and reflects rather than influences schema. Vygotsky on the other hand, sees
language as an important tool, contrasting with Piaget's theory that development
occurs through the discovery of the environment. The focus here is on social
interaction. Language is an important cultural tool, first used to support children by
getting to know others and later evolving into an internal language that influences the
way children think, guides problem-solving and directs behavior to self. Allow your
child to express themselves to adjust. When thinking and language merge, language
can influence the way children understand the world.

2. Yes, Piaget’s theory can be applied to when and how a child should be taught. Thus,
Vygotsky’s theory can also be applied equally as Piaget's theory can. As Piaget's
theory of the future classroom, teachers, and students can benefit in many ways.
Teachers can better understand what students think. I can also tailor my teaching
approach to the cognitive level of my students such as motivation sets, modeling,
and assignments. However, Vygotsky's theory is used to enhance a student's ability
to determine from a text. In this approach, the teacher and student work together to
learn and practice his four key skills as Summarize, asking questions, clarifying, and
predicting.
