DECLARATION OF INTENTION
TO FORM A DeMOLAY COURT OF CHEVALIERS
The Declaration of Intention of the undersigned respectfully represents that they are DeMolay
Brothers who are in good standing and are duly Invested with the Degree of Chevalier; that they are
Active and/or Senior Members of the Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines; that they
reside within the jurisdictions of Region III in the Philippines; that among them are sufficient number
of Chevaliers under Part II, Article 12, Section 3 (a) of the Statutes of the Supreme Council of
the Order of DeMolay, well-qualified to open and hold a Court of Chevaliers and discharge its
various duties in accordance to the well-established usage, and having the prosperity of the Order at
heart and being desirous to use their best endeavors for the good of the Order of DeMolay, they pray
for this Declaration be approved empowering them to form, open and hold a regular Court of
Chevaliers at the Province of Bulacan, to be called “DEL PILAR Court of Chevaliers No. _”
They have elected Bro.XXX Chev ., as the first Grand Commander in the East; Bro. XXXX,
Chev., as the first Commander in the West; Bro. XXXX Chev., as the first Commander in the South;
Bro. XXXXXX Chev., , as the first Secretary, Bro. XXXXX, Chev. COH, FSLCF, as the first
Treasurer; Bro. XXXXX, Chev., as the first Marshal; and Bro. XXXXX., COH, as the first Chaplain,
they being each, in all respects, competent to perform all the duties of either of the positions for which
they are severally proposed; and if the prayer of the petitioners be granted, they promise in all things
strict obedience to the commands of the Grand Master and his Executive Officers and an undeviating
conformity and loyalty to the Statutes and regulations of the Supreme Council of the Order of
DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines.

This Court of Chevaliers shall be governed first by the By-Laws and Rules and
Regulations of the Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the
Philippines; second by the following by laws:
II. Members
Section 1. This Court of Chevaliers shall be composed only of Members with the Degree
of Chevalier of the Order of DeMolay.
Section 2. Any Chevalier who applies for membership with the Court of Chevaliers must
be a member of good standing from their respective Active or Alumni Chapter; if Master
Mason, must be a member of good standing or lifetime Member of the Supreme Council of
the Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines during the last Session; had complied
with its last annual observance; and recommend by two (2) regular members who are also in
good standing with the Court of Chevaliers.
Section 3. The members of the Court of Chevaliers by a two thirds (2/3) vote of all
member present during the meeting shall elect a Chevalier for Membership. Once elected no
more objections to his qualifications shall be entertained.
Section 4. Any Chevalier from other Supreme Council may be invited to join the Court
of Chevaliers provided he is member of good standing or a lifetime member of the Supreme
Council of the Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines at the time of his
application.
Section 5. Any objection against a Chevalier for admission must be first be deliberated
and voted as valid by a unanimous vote of the Court of Chevaliers before it is given due course.
III. Meetings
Section 1. The meeting of the Court of Chevaliers shall be called by the Grand
Commander in the East with proper notice to all members.
Section 2. The Court of Chevaliers shall meet each November 8th for the “Annual
Chevalier Tradition Observance,” at a place selected by the Court of Chevaliers or its Grand
Commander in the East.
Section 1. The Elected Officers of the Court of Chevaliers is the Grand Commander in
the East, Commander in the West, Commander in the South, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Section 2. The Officers shall be elected at the November 8th Meeting for a two-year term.
Section 3. The Chaplain and Marshal may be appointed by the Grand Commander in the
East co-terminus to his term of two years and shall serve at his pleasure.
Section 4. Only members who are fully paid of their dues and had complied with its last
annual observance shall be eligible to vote and can be voted upon to any elective positions.
Section 1. The Grand Commander in the East shall preside at all the meetings of the
Court of Chevaliers. It is his duty to see to it that all the edicts, circulars, statues, rules and
regulations of the Supreme Council of the Oder of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines
are fully observed and implemented.
Section 2. He shall make sure the accurate and true records of the Court are kept and just
account is rendered. It is also his duty that all remittances to the Supreme Council are made at
the time required.
Section 1. The Commander in the West shall preside all meetings in the absence of the
Grand Commander in the East. It is his duty to assist the Grand Commander in the East in
the discharge of his duties.
Section 2. He shall take charge of the staging of the Annual Tradition of observance every
November 8th Dad Frank S. Land Memorial Day.
Section 1. The Commander in the South shall assist the Grand Commander in the East
and the Commander in the West in discharge of their duties.
X. Fees
Section 1. Annual Membership Fees of One Thousand Five Hundred Pesos Only
(Php 1,500.00) payable on or before November 8th of each year..
Section 2. Any Miscellaneous Fees for the Traditional Observance approved by the
Court may be collected together with the Annual Dues. Non-Payment of the Miscellaneous
Fees is considered arrears in the Annual Dues.
Section 1. Any member of the Court who ceases to be a Chevalier or a member in good
standing, with an Official Circular from the Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay of the
Republic of the Philippines, shall be suspended or expelled from this Court, whichever the
case may be.
Section 2. Any member who is two (2) years in arrears with his Court Dues, may be
suspended from membership.
XII. Committees
Section 1. The Grand Commander in the East, on his first Stated Meeting after his
Installation, shall appoint such committees which are necessary to assist him in the
management of the Court.
Section 2. All reports of the committees shall be made in writing and must be presented
in portable document in Court.
