Here I am again giving you some tips on the different modules on the four basic
areas in the social work profession and their competencies. I hope you watch my video.
you mentioned.

The social work profession consists of the knowledge, what one knows, the competence one knows how,
the performance one shows how and the action how one does.

Okay, under this, the students must show abilities on the following areas in the field of the module of
human behavior and social environment.

HBSE subjects
1. students must be able to display direct values and attitudes necessary for professional social
worker
2. ability to understand the different behaviors of clients in their cultural background.
3. Ability to accurately assess the nature and the dynamics of the behavior of the client system.
4. Ability to relate and use of different personality theories and concepts to the nature of Filipino
clients.
5. Ability to play the role of professional social worker to protect and understand the Filipino family
as the basic foundation of society.
6. Ability to examine the different aspects of family life and family relationships as they affect the
Filipino family
7. Ability to use social realities confronting Filipino family in different settings.
8. Ability to provide appropriate intervention and help families to strengthen their relationships.
9. Ability to identify how family patterns and experiences affect influence families and their
professional work with them
10. ability to use theories of development in responding to the realities of Philippine setting.
11. Ability to understand the society through the Social processes in groups and communities.
12. Ability to describe the lifestyle of Filipino people through social structure, dynamics of living social
values and the attitude and culture of the people.
13. Ability to understand the forms and mechanisms of oppression and discrimination and the
strategies of change that advance social and economic justice
14. ability to identify bio psychosocial variables that affect individual development and behavior and
use theoretical frameworks to understand the interactions among individuals and between
individuals and social system the families, groups, organizations and communities
15. ability to identify the different societal forces and processes that influence individual, group and
community behavior.
16. Ability to assess normal and abnormal behavior and identify the types of deviant and its causes
and characteristics
17. ability to use tools for social and analysis or social analysis in working with clients.

Okay, guys, under the social welfare policies and programs, these are your subjects under SWPP. So
you have to have these abilities in order to pass the subjects.
1. Ability to articulate the functions, roles, responsibilities of social work according to the different
fields of social welfare.
2. Ability to play the role of professional social worker in the different social welfare agencies.
3. Ability to explain the different policies, conditions, regulations, institutions, programs and broad
range of services relevant to the social welfare setting.
4. Ability to identify social work approaches in view of the different social welfare needs and
problems.
5. Ability to assess the common needs of the clientele and their root causes. And their root causes.
6. Ability to make a study of the different clientele groups.
7. Ability to analyze policies significant to social problems. Client system, social workers and
agencies.
8. Ability to write project proposals ability to identify how clients participate in social analysis in
addressing social issues, problems that affect them.
9. Ability to understand the bureaucracy of service delivery as in local government units.
10. Ability to understand networks of existing social welfare and development agencies in the region
