Intramurals comebacks successfully

Joined the competition and aimed straight for victory; the spotlight, smoke, and cheers from the crowd
ignited their passion to gain the crown. The Grade Ten level brings home the bacon after their
representatives were crowned as the new Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2023 at Mati National
Comprehensive High School on January 20, 2023. 

Jolance Pating and Kara B. Garcia, both grade ten students, are the reigning Mr. and Ms. Intramurals for
this year after winning the said event. It’s been almost four years since MNCHS conducted intrams for
aspiring student athletes due to the pandemic that happened in 2020. Pandemic have affected a lot of
prospect in the lives of everyone, and these events was not a exemption. 

After three years since the last execution of intramurals, students of Mati National Comprehensive High
School finally witnessed and took part in the said event. They were finally able to take a glance at how
their fellow students showcase their talent on stage while facing the crowd, entice the audience with
their charisma, and prove their cleverness equals beauty throughout the show. The nostalgic feeling
while hearing the exact same song play when the show begins as the contestants reign and dwindle like
kings and queens
Time really does have an influence on progress. This year’s event of intramurals is visibly an upgrade of
the intramurals that took place before. From the exhibition of sports, the attire worn, and the sport
equipment used. It was an amazing and amusing view for the crowd, especially every time the
contestants do something worthy of a glance; exhibitions with sweet alibi, which is, were really enjoyed
by the viewers. It shows as the cheers and yells engulf the covered court.

Beginning with the introduction and continuing until the final round of questions and answers, twenty-
four candidates give it their all to stand out. They were sparkling right up until the very end.
Nervousness and confidence were discernible; however, this did not hinder them from showing off what
they’ve got. To win the crown, the contestants had to endure left and right trainings, photoshoots,
rehearsals, and struggles, not to mention the short period of time they had to complete all of the
preparation. It was all worth it, and not a single drop of sweat was wasted because the event was a
success.

Among the contestants from the pageant, Kara and Jolance proved that, until the end, they deserved to
receive the prize and bring home the crown. From their charismatic entrance to their powerful sporting
exhibition up to their rounds of applause-worthy answers, they undoubtedly deserved the title.
