Fire due to short circuit. 4.2 Safety Precautions 4.2.1 Stand on the Insulated rubber mat while doing any electrical operations on the panel. 4.2.2. Ensure proper earthing of panel. 4.3 Activities 4.3.1 Check the master trip relays 864, 86B & 86C in GRP-A and GRP-B are in reset position. 4.3.2 Check all MCBS (1QSA, 2QSA, 1QSB, 2QSB, 1QFS, 2QFS&Q101) in AVR Regulator panel are in on position 4.3.3 Check all MCCBS (1QF1, 1QF2, 2QF1, 2QF2) in AVR power converter panel are in on position. 4.3.4 Reset if any fault indications In AVR-A & AVR-B. Keep local/remote selector switch in local mode for both AVR-A & AVR-B in AVR regulator panel. 4.3.5 Ensure turbine speed reached to rated RPM and SWITCH on field breaker (41MK) from AVR power converter panel, 4.3.6 Keep RUN/QUIT selector switch in RUN position in both AVR-A & AVR-B. 4.3.7 Select MASTER/SLAVE selector switch (1QK A/B) in position A for selecting AVR-A as master (AVR-B as slave) or in position B for AVR-B as master (AVR-A as slave).Generally AVR-A will be master and AVR-B will be slave. ‘Standard Operating Procedure CONTROLLED*eOry SIMHAPURI ENERGY LIMITED Document No. Issue No/Date Revision No/Date auaruaiewenay |" “SEL/EMD/SOP/O1 01/24.04.2014 00/24.04.2014 Title Procedure for Synchronization of TG with grid 4.3.8 Switch on Exc-S ON/OFF switch in master AVR. Observe the generator voltage will rise automatically up to 15.1KV and switch OFF Exc-S button, Now raise the generator voltage up to 16.75KV using voltage Rise/Lower button on master AVR. 4.3.9 Keep local/remote switch in both AVR-A & AVR-B in remote mode on AVR regulator panel. 4.3.10 Select the respective Circuit Breaker from Breaker Selector Switch. 4.3.11 Keep LIVE/DEAD bus selector switch in live mode Auto Synchronization: 4.3.12 Keep AUTO/MANUAL selector switch in AUTO mode. 4.3.13 Match generator voltage and frequency with grid voltage and frequency by controlling excitation voltage and R.P.M respectively and switch on Auto synchronizer button, 4.3.14 Switch on synchronoscope 4.3.15 Observe the rotation of synchronoscope .It should be slow clock wise motion, 4.3.16 After reaching synchronoscope at 12 degrees clock position close command will be issued to breaker by auto synchronizer. Once the TG is synchronized with grid, increase the generation on TG to a minimum value of 5 MW to avoid chances of reverse power protection operation. 4.3.17 Keep synchronoscope selector from IN to OUT position. 4.3.18 Keep breaker selection in off position. 4.3.19 Keep Live/Dead bus selection in off position, 4.3.20 Switch ON power factor Auto control mode from DCS after reaching 15MW generation. Manual Synchronization: 4.3.21 Keep AUTO/MANUAL selector switch in MANUAL mode. 4.3.22 Control the generator voltage using voltage raise/lower button and control the frequency Using speed raise/lower button and match with grid voltage and frequency. 4.3.23 Switch on synchronoscope 4.3.24 Observe the rotation of synchronoscope. It should be in slow clock wise motion. 4.3.25 After reaching synchronoscope at 12 degrees clock position close the TNC switch of respective breaker. Once the TG is synchronized with grid, increase the generation on TG toa minimum value of § MW to avoid chances of reverse power protection operation. 4.3.26 Keep synchronoscope selector from IN to OUT position. 4.3.27 Keep breaker selection in off position. 4.3.28 Keep Live/Dead bus selection in off position. 4.3.29 Switch ON power factor Auto control mode from DCS after reaching 15MW generation, 5.0 References: CONTROLLED COPY TG-Electrical volumes ‘Standard Operating Procedure Page 3 of 4 @ SIMHAPURI ENERGY LIMITED Document No. Tssue No/Date Revision No/Date MARL ENED ‘SEV/EMD/SOP/01 01724.04.2014 00/24.04.2014 Title Procedure for Synchronization of TG with grid. 6.0 Records ‘SEUEMD/F/O1 SEVEMDIF/02 SEVEMDIFI10 SEVEMDIF/11 Standard Operating Procedure CONTROLLED COPY Page 4 of 4
