“The constitution and rules relating to the compensation given to a labour in
case of any disease, injury or disablement”. In Pakistan this Act was introduced in 1923 extending to 35 sections and 4 schedule’s. These workmen include minor, adult, dependent, employer and managing agent. Applicable on both Industrial and Commercial Businesses. Injury, Disablement and Disease There are 3 kinds of Compensation given in Pakistan; For sick leaves/diseases, injury by accident, disablement. Number of sick leaves given in the company are paid. I. Injury by Accident: when any labour comes to an unexpected mishap because of which he/she encountered any cuts, scratches or bruises. II. Disablement: o Partial disablement: temporary and permanent both Partial disablement reduces the ability and capacity to work and earn. o Total disablement: in case of temporary total disablement worker is not able to perform any task for some while whereas total permanent disablement is using by loss of hearing, motion or sight. III. Diseases: If the workmen develops any disease at work through constant exposure leading to Anthrax , (lead, arsenal, phosphorus, benzene ) poisoning or radio active rays. Therefore, they are given compensation. COMPENSATION FOR WORKMEN FOR PERSONAL INJURY: Employer liable to pay : if any personal injury happened in Course of performing the task with proper rules the company will pay to the worker a compensation of about Employer not liable to pay : Company is not liable to pay if that worker is not following the set of instructions given to him/her.
