Task 1:

This chart shows how many people in different age groups used different types of media
to get daily news in one country in 2011.
Overall, it is clear that people aged 18+ prefer radio to other types of media. In addition,
all three types of media were mainly used by people between the age of 18-29.
80% of people between the ages of 10-17 got daily news by using social networks, and
the same figure can be seen for 18-29. However, 40% of people between the ages of 10-
17 used the radio to get daily news while the figure for 18-29-year-olds was significantly
higher, at almost 92%. The number of people aged between 10-17 who used micro-
blogging was slightly lower than that of 18-29-year-olds, and the figures are 20% and
25% respectively.
The number of people in the 3 remaining groups used radio as the main media to get the
daily news, between 88% and 93%. However, the number of people who got daily news
from social networks decreased considerably when they got older, with the figures being
45%, 35%, and 10%. Similarly, the figures for micro-blogging were 12%, 9%, and 1%.
