JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Project Services Lead


LOCATION: PETRONAS Twin Tower

Essential Job Functions

Job Overview

1. The Project Services Lead is a key member of the WL4-00 development leadership team and has
overall accountability for project control activities including planning and scheduling, budgeting,
forecasting, estimating, risk management, and reporting services.
2. The position shall be accountable for initiating, implementing, and maintaining planning and control
systems to ensure that project progress and monitoring of the project are carried out in the most
orderly and expedient manner.

Job Accountabilities

1. Contributes to the Project Execution Plan development.


2. Develops project control/services execution strategies.
3. Prepares procedures for various project control activities including budget preparation, forecasts
and related cost engineering and planning/scheduling functions.
4. Facilitates risk mitigation and contingency planning process.
5. Supervises estimating, cost control, planning/scheduling, risk management, and related project
service activities.
6. Monitors miscellaneous estimate development including estimates addressing alternative options,
products, locations, etc.
7. Interfaces and coordinates with the internal planning and contractors’ planning organization to
ensure that data is incorporated into the integrated project schedule.
8. Manages cost engineering activities including development and implementation of cost control
systems, invoice processing activities, monthly cost reporting, trending, cost variance analysis,
funding budgets and cash flows.
9. Manages cost estimating/forecasting activities including periodic project re-estimates and cost
benchmark metrics.
10. Manages planning & scheduling activities including development of summary and detailed project
schedules, progress and performance monitoring, schedule deviations and workaround solutions;
plans and manages the execution of internal audits of critical commercial internal control systems.
11. Act as project controls liaison on audits carried out by Joint Venture partners, in country regulatory
authorities and clients’ internal auditing.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related discipline.


• 10+ years of major project/program experience in the offshore oil and gas sector.
• Has clearly demonstrated strong technical competence.
• Deep knowledge of the offshore oil & gas industry, with broad experience in execution of upstream
facilities and well programs.
• Highly experienced with project management systems, principles and best industry processes,
practices, or tools.
• Broad knowledge of industry and professional cost engineering trends and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and react to needs, problems, process improvement
opportunities, or change needs in area of expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to engage others in problem resolution and to consider problems, solutions,
and changes with a holistic mindset.
• Experienced with staff career development, coaching and mentoring.

• PETRONAS Twin Tower


• Offshore if necessary

Service period

• 1 year contract
