a. The HIA evaluated by comparing the typical inspection program, which is driven
by grievances from tenants and neighbors, to an improved complaint-driven
program, which had been piloted in two city neighborhoods and in which a
particular number and kind of violations create the inspection of the property
owner's other rental properties.
OBJECTIVES OF HIA
ii. 2.2 To evaluate the relative health and health equality effects of Portland's
two rental housing inspection models (Oregon Public Health Institute).
TARGET POPULATION
b. The tenants, landlords, renters, and residents are the specific beneficiaries of
the intervention. Whereas the City Council will indirectly benefit from the improvement
of its city's rental housing status.
TOOLS AND METHODS
c. To address the issues relating to the Housing Rental Voucher Program, the city
council should give a funding for the Voucher Program and conduct a study to identify the
numbers of beneficiaries in each local region.
d. The main goal of the HIA in the Housing Rental Voucher Program is to
identify the individuals who cannot afford a house and assess their daily needs.
Moreover, the following are the recommendations formed:
b. The Beltline HIA shows that there are several potential issues that are being
related to health impacts and is not limited to it alone. It is generally associated
with the overall quality of life issues and health concerns of the citizen around it.
This includes the aspects such as integration of beltline, timing of the beltline,
mobility priorities, the designing for user friendly approach, and the involvement
of all stakeholders in the process of decision-making. This means that the HIA of
Atlanta Beltline has an overarching issue that are not limited to Health Concerns
alone as stated earlier. This includes the Access and Social Equity for every
citizen around it. This involves the easy access to health-promoting products,
services, and amenities with a reasonable or affordable cost and time-convenient.
It also includes Safety from injury or crime which involves the Social Capital and
Environment that involves the environmental impacts related to the Beltline such
as water resources and air quality.
OBJECTIVES OF HIA
i. 2.1 To examine and determine the component of the beltline and establish
priorities concerning the citizen’s Health Issues as well as the fulfillment
of their daily needs.
ii. 2.2 To resolve certain issues regarding the other health outcomes such as
diseases from air or water, mental health, social capital, social equity,
environmental impacts, and more.
iii. 2.3 To assess the impact of the Beltline in general to the citizens and
remodeling the design for certain defects that can be found along the
Beltline.
TARGET POPULATION
b. The municipality of Atlanta especially the citizens around and along the area as
they are the ones who uses the Beltline in their daily life activities. These target
population is the focus because they are exposed to the Beltline and was the primary
target for the HIA along the beltline.

c. To address the issues relating to the Atlanta Beltline, a team of researchers that
is an expert assembled and is comprised with individuals who have expertise regarding HIA,
public and physical health, health psychology, city and regional planning, architecture, and more.
The team will have an approach to assess the situation and address the issue such as multifaceted
approach.
d. The main goal of the HIA in the Atlanta Beltline is to address and identify the
issues that are currently present around it and is affecting the citizens. Moreover, the
following are the recommendations formed:

iii. 2.3 To assess the impact of the proposed solution regarding the HIA of
Los Angeles City.
TARGET POPULATION
b. The municipality of Los Angeles City especially the residents that can’t afford
the housing, health related products and service.
c. To address the issues relating the HIA of Los Angeles City, other association
such as the University of Southern California proposed to create an HIA model and scope to
better address the issues regarding it. Doing a research to properly have data about the issue is a
better method to address the issue.
RESULTS, CONCLUSION, RECOMMENDATIONS
d. The main goal of the HIA in the Los Angeles City is to address and identify the
issues that are currently present around it and is affecting the citizens. Moreover, the
following are the recommendations formed:

i. 2.1 To examine and investigate the air quality in the Coal-Fired Power
Plant (CFPPT).
ii. 2.2 To associate Health Impacts from the emissions of CFPPT.
iii. 2.3 To assess the impact of the CFPPT to the citizens around it and the
environment as well.
TARGET POPULATION
b. The target population can vary, and it depends on the location that the CFPPT
will be placed. The main target can be the citizens around the target location and the
environment surrounding it.
c. To address the issues relating to the CFPPT, there are several tools and methods
to consider. Applying a Gaussian Trajectory transfer-coefficient (GTx) model for the estimation
of increments in the compounds it will emit and release. A framework is also considered by the
researchers to assess the issue more accurately. Generation of grids is also conducted throughout
a map for the precise pinpointing of location.
d. The main goal of the HIA in the Coal-Fired Power Plant is to address and
identify the issues that are currently present around it and is affecting the citizens.
Moreover, the following are the recommendations formed:
e. Many housing decisions are made without any considerations for health, equity,
and safety. This is the result of insufficient public funding for providing housing
for low-income individuals and families. The main issue regarding the Housing
Redevelopment Projects are the lack of financial support from the government
officials as well as the lack of more job opportunities for the individuals.

ability to afford a house.
ii. 2.2 To resolve certain issues regarding the financial stability of individuals
and families who cannot afford a house that meets the basic and daily
human requirement.
iii. 2.3 To assess the situation and address the issues for housing.

b. The target population is the individuals and families who has low-income and
is at the bottom of the hierarchy.
d. The main goal of the HIA in the Housing Redevelopment Project is to address
and identify the issues regarding the citizens’ financial affordability to afford a house.
