1 Preparations:

Remove the fitted fuel tank (mostly this will be a 200 dm3
tank).

Move the fuel lines to a new position behind the air


vessel bracket (picture 1).

Remove the side marker lights and their brackets


(connections are reused).

Wrap protection (1518520) around the air lines as shown


in picture 2

Fit the cable duct in such a way that it doesn't contact the
frame.

Now tie the lines neatly, so that they do not contact the
corner of the tank (see picture 3).

Drilling holes is contained in the S-order 350768.
XH 3475
Remove drilling swarf,
The front tank bracket in the position the Scania fuel tank also swarf fallen on chassis and surrounding areas
has as foremost: XH 3475 (see picture 3). !!!
On the left hand side use wedge 1407005, on the right
hand side only if required. Q
Use the Scania bolt plate with 3x M14 bolts, remove
these bolts and ream the outer holes to 16mm. Tightening torque 180 Nm.

Now fit the bolt plate with 2 M16 bolts.

Left rear tank bracket: Drill the holes 16 mm in the


following positions: upper hole XM 3856 Z 1173.4, lower Tightening torque 180 Nm.
4 hole XM 3881 Z 1061, fitting with spacer block.

Right rear tank bracket: Remove the 2 rivets (150 mm Tightening torque 180 Nm.
from each other) from the cross member, they are
positioned approx. 370 mm behind the front bracket
(h.o.h.).

Enlarge holes by drilling for fitting 2 M16 bolts.

Prefitting fuel tanks:

Fit the stopcocks.

Fit the bleed nipples with hose.

Chassis with HPI engine: replace float element with


longer variant.

If required, move the line for the auxiliary heating.

Crane------------- 25 Nm and tighten further to the correct position


Bleed nipple---- 25 Nm and tighten further to the correct position

5 Fitting fuel tanks:

Heater fuel line: normally long enough, if not, then route a


new line from the feed pump.

Connect the connecting line between the tanks, through


the cable duct on the cross member.

The tank straps must be positioned straight .

Do not use soap suds to prevent moving of the tanks! !


Note! Bundle must Lightly grease the tank strap bolts Tightening torque 55 Nm.

Open both fuel cocksafter bleeding the fuel system.

Stickers: If an Eberspächer or Webasto heater is


present, fit the red sticker 1537120 to the right hand side
tank. If the truck has an HPI fuel system, fit the blue
sticker 1720780 to the right hand side tank (example: see
removed tank).

The yellow sticker 326710 is fitted to the left hand side tank.
Put the keys for the fuel tank caps in the cab in the
ash tray!

Fitting side marker lights:

Fit the correct side marker in the mudguards


(cockscombs), use the template to mark off the position,
next cut the hole and fit the lamp (picture 6 ), on the left
hand side use an extension cable 1756532.

Fit the cable to the mudguard as shown in picture 7.

Fit the rear side marker lights to SB tanks (picture 8) Next

With the normal end of productionline fuel volume (120
liter), check if the fuel meter shows approx. ¼.

If a catwalk has been removed, refit it and tighten it Tightening torque 20 Nm.
