1. Experiment Name: Determination of unknown branch current of a of
a D.C. circuit and verify it by Mesh analysis

2. Objective:
Mesh analysis is a method that is used to solve planar circuits for the currents at any
place in the electrical circuit. Planar circuits are circuits that can be drawn on a plane
surface with no wires crossing each other.
In this experiment two voltage source has been used.

1.Variable D.C. power supply

2. Resistor: 3x 1KΩ
3. Connecting wire
4. Multimeter
5. Project Board
6. Ammeter

6. Result:
Here, the calculated and measured values are approximately same and in case of I3 ,
due to some internal resistance and temperature the value is little bit dissimilar.
7. Mathematical Calculation:
For the above circuit,
For , i1 = 5 , I2 = 0 and i3 = 5
Those value has been calculated in mA.

8. Discussion:
In this experiment, we have measured the value of the resistor using the voltmeter and
the value is almost same for calculated value. The value of error is ignorable. And the
unknowne node voltage has been determined.
