OPENING SPEECH

Thank you honorable chair and esteemed delegates:

Why is it important to have a program of education in conflict and post-conflict areas?
The country of Saudi Arabia feels the issue of education in conflict and post-conflict areas are important in order to
raise the number of people with high quality studies in order to improve the living conditions of immigrants. It also would
low the number of illiterate people in our country.

This committee must understand that due to these problems, the people who lived in conflict or post-conflict areas are
not able to improve their knowledge because there is not enough money for building infrastructures and there is no
qualified teachers because they have migrated to other country for a better future.

The government of Saudi Arabia had been trying to deal with this issue by donating 22 million dollars since the 2021
appeal to guarantee quality material and newborn health services and access to safe water in Yemen.

The country of Saudi Arabia encourages the committee to:

-Increase the money spent on humanitarian issues as well as for infrastructures for schools and diverse services.

In conclusion, the country of Saudi Arabia believes that is really important to support this program because it will help a
lot of people that suffer because of living in one country instead of another who has a better economical situation
