For Central Office and Satellite base stations, we offer diesel generator sets up to
2 MW, natural gas sets up to 1500 kW, automatic transfer switches, and fuel
systems, plus microprocessor controlled PowerCommand® Digital Paralleling
equipment and Network for local/remote monitoring and control. All generator
sets can be outfitted with specialized enclosures to provide outdoor security,
HVAC control, and sound attenuation. A comprehensive product line, combined
with Engineer, Furnish and Install (EF& I) services, provides turnkey
telecommunications projects around the world.
DC POWER FOR OUTSIDE PLANT APPLICATIONS

DCathlon® gensets from Cummins Power Generation are designed to provide backup
power for remote terminal cabinets, wireless networks, or cable applications. Powered
by natural or LP gas, these gensets significantly increase the reliability of remote
telecom and cable sites while reducing your backup battery plant. And they will
continuously charge your battery plant while saving valuable cabinet space and
reducing maintenance costs.

DCathlon gensets are available in 3.0 kW, 4.5 kW and 5.5 kW, and they feature sound-
attenuated and lockable aluminum enclosures. Each unit is microprocessor controlled
with a variable speed engine to further reduce noise for applications in residential or
commercial areas. And the gensets are all tested and certified to meet
Telcordia/Bellcore GR-63-CORE, GR-487-CORE and, GR-1089-CORE, and UL2200.

POWER FOR THE LOCAL LOOP

For Central Office, SLC/DLC, Huts and CEV applications, Cummins Power
Generation 5 kW to 200 kW gas and 5 kW to 2 MW diesel generator sets meet the
intent of TR-NWT-1293 Generic Requirements for Permanent Engine-Generators
for Remote Electronic Sites. In addition, they can be tailored to meet the
requirements for either bulk or distributed power architectures.

All of our generator sets are coded with unique Telecordia/Bellcore CLEI and
CPR numbers. And, as with Central Offices, we provide turnkey EF&I services.

CELLULAR AND PCS POWER

Rugged Cummins Power Generation gas and diesel generator sets from 5 kW to
200 kW provide emergency back-up and prime power support for MTSO, RSA
and PCS base stations worldwide. These generator sets have been deployed as
stationary standby systems and as trailer-mounted units for mobile emergency
power. They also feature various optional sound-attenuated enclosures.
