Undergraduate Research Assistant
PLACE (August 2021 – present): The UW Arts Collaboratory
Principal Investigator: Dr. Erica Halverson, Dr. Yorel Lashley

 Observe and record local arts programming such as Drum Power, Whoopensocker,
and Performing Ourselves.
 Interview and survey children about their arts experiences.
 Analyze data using linguistic tools to map out growth of agency
 Conduct a Poetic Inquiry of observations of arts programming to create 3 poetry
collections analyzing student behavior that are would be labeled “defiance” or
“disruptive”
Undergraduate Researcher
Personal (August 2021 – present): Sex Education Through the Arts

 Created an eight-week curriculum designed for variety of ages to learn about sex
education through various art mediums.
 Compiled literature review of how to integrate the arts into fields of education and
other sex education curriculum already created.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Kerr Lab (August 2020 - June 2022): Anti-Racist Parenting Program

 Conducted literature review and created a six-week curriculum for white parents with
young children.
 Wrote and directed a poetry video about my personal experience being raised by
white racist parent for Module 1.
