Argentina is a country in south America, which is the 8 th largest country in the world. It is a Hispanic
country.

Argentina’s name comes from the Latin argentum, which was given to it because of the great source of
valuable minerals they’ve always had.

Lifestyles:

Overall, Argentinians are direct and blunt, they are really warm and passionate people. It is not unusual
for them to be talking really up close to the person they are interacting with.

As a cultural fact, if you were to be invited to an Argentinian house and arrived 30 to 45 minutes late,
they wouldn’t care at all, as in their culture being on time isn’t all that important, but they really
appreciate if you bring in a little gift.

Argentinians are already very known for their passion for football and when their team wins important
matches, they really go crazy and do all sort of stuff in the streets.

Gastronomy:

Argentina is known for their flavored meats, like Asado or chimichurri which are very typical dishes from
Argentina.

But only that, Argentina is also known for their “Mate culture”, Mate is a popular drink in Argentina
which is made of leaves and twigs from a plant named “Yerba mate” which is then put in hot water like
we do with tea. That is a popular drink in Argentina and is usually used to bring people together.

Traditions:

Argentina being a descendant from Europe’s culture also comes with its traditions like the “greet kiss”.

The traditional dance in Argentina is Tango, which is one of the main attractions in the country.

Another thing Argentinians really like to do is barbequing with friends, they really value friendships in
there and barbequing is their way to bring them all together and have a good time.
