Introduction
Obesity can cause a plethora of health problems such as decreased pulmonary function,
increased risk for heart disease, kidney disease, cardiometabolic disease, immune
dysfunctions and so much more (Mayo Clinic ). This is why it’s so important to combat
obesity and engage in healthy weight loss. A good way to lose weight is to be more
conscious of what and why we eat. Are we eating as an emotional response or eating to
provide nutrition to our bodies? Is what we are eating mostly empty calories and sugar or
are we eating balanced meals that meet all our dietary needs? Eating alone is not enough
to lose weight, it is important to move our bodies. As little as walking 30 minutes a day can
make a significant difference in our health.
