The Law of the Land
1. It is forbidden to make international calls in North Korea.
North Korea is known for its super-strict regulations. One of them is that its citizens
are not allowed to make international calls because it is considered a criminal act. In
a 2007 report, a factory boss in North Korea was executed in front of 150,000 people
after allegedly making international calls on 13 phones located in the factory
basement. I think this regulation is not good enough because there are some people
who have to do business with people from abroad in order to continue their business.
However, as we know, North Korea is a communist country where all foreign access
is restricted.
2. If you have a dog, residents of Turin, Italy, must take the dog for a
walk.
Turin is a city that takes animal welfare very seriously. It's only natural that rules
were established.However, it turns out that the rule is quite extreme because the
owner has to walk the dog up to three times a day. Just get ready to be fined 500
euros, or around 8.5 million rupiah, if you don't comply with these rules. In my
opinion, this rule is very good because when many dogs are adopted by their owners
for the first time, they are very loved, but when they are old, the dogs are let go. With
this law, people care more and are responsible for their respective pets.
3. If you forget your wife's birthday, it is a criminal act.
This rule was made in Samoa: A husband who forgets his wife's birthday will make
her angry. However, for men living in Samoa, the risk is greater, namely dealing with
the law, unless the wife forgives her husband and doesn't mind it. In my opinion, this
is not funny, but there is some truth to this rule. With this regulation, the men can pay
more attention to their wives, and thus, the husbands will be more loyal to their
wives.
4. Running out of gas in Germany
You can be fined if you run out of gas on the highway. This regulation basically
encourages people to be more careful when planning trips. I think this is important
because the purpose of this regulation is that we as drivers must pay attention to the
condition of the vehicle before carrying out traffic activities.
5. Pee in the sea in Portugal
You can't pee in Portugal's sea. The Portuguese government established this rule in
order to preserve the environment and respect the coast guard. I think this sounds a
little funny, but this is also important so that the cleanliness of the sea in that country
is always maintained and there is more respect for people who clean the sea or are
coast guards.
