What are the characteristics of a child and adult learner?

Child:

They enjoy imitating and skilfull in listening accurately and mimicking what they have heard. They have
limited knowledge about the world. They have limited writing and reading skills even in their first
language. Generally they are more concerned about themselves then others.

Adult:

Adults are characterized by maturity, self-confidence, autonomy, solid decision-making, and are
generally more practical, multi-tasking, purposeful, self-directed, experienced, and less open-minded
and receptive to change.

Explain the following:

Physical:

Your physical features are your height, weight, size, shape or another bodily characteristic. These also
include facial features, hair, scarring and birthmarks. Physical features may also include include
piercings, tattoos or body modifications.

Cognitive:

Cognitive aspects of learning refer to thinking processes and mental procedures involved in the learning
process. For example is attention, attention is a cognitive process that allows people to focus on a
specific stimulus in the environment. Language: Language and language development are cognitive
processes that involve the ability to understand and express thoughts through spoken and written
words.
Social:

A person's social life consists of the various bonds they form with others, such as family, friends,
members of their community, and strangers. It can be measured by the duration and quality of the
social interactions they have on a regular basis, both in person and online.
