Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 146 s. 2022, DepEd Regional Office 1 through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD) shall officially launch the Learning Action Cell (LAC) Materials on Reading Literacy and the Functional Literacy Assessment Tools for English Filipino, llocano, and Pangasinan on February 21, 2022 @ 1:30 PM via the DepEd Region 1 Facebook Page. 2. Participants to the activity are all the Education Program Supervisors (EPSs) handling English, Filipino, and ELLN/MTB MLE, Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs) school heads from the elementary schools, and school reading coordinators across the region 3. The virtual launching shall highlight the orientation on the utilization of the teachers’ learning resource materials on reading education and the reading assessment tools. 4. The Functional Literacy Assessment Tools shall be administered among all public elementary schoo! learners within the current school year. All reports shall be consolidated by the EPSs handling languages shall be submitted to the Regional Office on or before May 13, 2022. 5. The link of the Google Drive containing the materials and the templates shall be released during the virtual launching, The results of the reading assessment data shall be used for policy review and development, research formulation, and program adjustment. 6. The developers of the LAC materials and of the reading assessment tools (refer to RM 1076 s. 2021 and RM 1182 s. 2021) shall compose the Technical Working Group (TWG) forthe virtual launch. A pre-event conference shall be conducted with the developers on February 17, 2022 at 2 PM via Zoom.
