My name is Stephen Omeje Benjamin, a graduate History and International Studies from

Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State Nigeria. As a graduate of History and International
Studies, I have always been fascinated by the power of storytelling to connect people across
cultures and borders. My passion for storytelling led me to pursue a career in journalism,
where I have honed my skills as a field journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria and as a
videographer and video director at Koinonia Global Media.

I am now excited to take my passion for storytelling to the next level by applying for a
Masters degree program in Film Production at the Edinburgh Napier University. I am
particularly drawn to this program because of its focus on the intersection of storytelling
and technology, and the opportunities it offers to explore new and innovative ways of
visualising stories.
I believe that my background in journalism and my experience in video production has
prepared me well for this program, and I am eager to learn from the experts at the
Edinburgh Napier University to develop my skills in visualisation and storytelling. I am
confident that this program will help me to make a meaningful impact in the world of film
and television production, and I am excited to begin this new chapter of my professional
journey.

In addition, I am skilled in Video Editing, Directing, Coverage, Basic Animation, Graphics

Design and Software installation. Learning those skills has helped in my personal
development and as support factor needed alongside my degree. I am a lover of Storytelling
and can easily adapt to change and new environment wherever I find myself. Hence, it will
be my utmost pleasure to learn from professionals at Edinburgh Napier University that will
add value to me and in turn impact on my society positively
