Newton II Law

 To diagnose what kind of

misconception and level the
Research Purposes misconception.
 To get an overview of the number of
students that misconception on the
laws of Newton’s II and how the of
misconception.
 Quantitative descriptive research and
the location at one of the junior high
Research Method school in Pandeglang.

 Misconception-1, students believe that

the result of the hand-throw style still
works because the object that is
thrown is still moving towards the top
(the gravity while heading to the center
of the Earth). They don’t believe if
Research Result there a force of gravity acting on the
object.
 Miconception-2, are a common
misconception to be experienced by
high school students. They assume
that the mass of an object affects the
“speed” such as the free fall of a body.
In fact, objects falling solely affected by
gravity (assuming negligible airfriction).
Misconception-3, has percentage of 81% of
the relationship style with speed. These
assumption are based on a table that
moves (changing object position) resulting
from given impulse (table). If the table is
not encouraged (not styled) then objects
(tables) are not moving.

Newton II Law and it’s misconceptions.

Research Subject

 The research used descriptive

quantitative which can be used as a
reference for academic journals. Also
Research Advantages the results used as a database for
long-term research.

Research Deficiency  Sources and research data are still

around the school so the data used still
weak enough to prove the
misconception of Newton Law II. The
data is still weak so it can be refuted
by other researchers or international
forums
Conclusion  Based on the analysis results and
discussion, then can be concluded that
the level of misconception shared by
students of SMP Negeri Pandeglang is
at the high and medium category. Also
students found a misconception on
Newton’s Law II so that it becomes the
basis of research to fix the problem.
