Learning Competencies and Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Compare and contrast the Aristotelian and Galilean conceptions of vertical motion, horizontal
motion, and projectile motion. (S11/12PS-IVc-46)
ELICIT
• Reviewing the previous lesson or presenting the new lesson

Key Questions:
1. What is the relationship of Kepler’s second law of planetary motion in the revolution of planets?
2. How did Brahe’s astronomical observations helped Kepler’s discovery of the laws of planetary
motion?
ENGAGE
• Establishing a purpose for the lesson
• Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson

 Processing questions:

1. What is the video clip all about?

2. How can you relate to the video clip when looking at the sky at night?

 Present the objective of the lesson

EXPLORE
• Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1
• Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2

 Fall for you

Materials:
• 5 peso-coin, 1 whole paper, meter stick, glue

Setup A Directions: Hold a pen and 1 whole paper one meter above the ground. Drop both items
simultaneously. Measure the time it hit the ground.
