Good Evening Everyone, My Name Is Ashfan Mallick, Studying In Grade 8th From The

Navyandhra School.
Today I’m Going To Express Some Reasons To Support My Motion That There Should Be
Just One Curriculum And Assessment Process In Schools Across The Globe (Instead Of
Country And Region-Specific Curriculums)
Global Citizenship welcomes personal respect for everyone, nevertheless of where they
live, and unites individuals to create a healthy environment for all.
In the education system, it can construct a framework for learning, showing students
that they can bring positive changes throughout their lives. Looking at life through a
global lens helps authorise and encourage global citizens.
In school, the teachers are the learner’s second parents, which play an active role in
supporting students to understand their actions and their effect on the community.
Teachers teach them to think about their actions, how they live their lives and the
impact it has on the world.
Identifying a global phenomenon or system (such as urbanisation) connects or affects
different regions of the world.
The learners around the globe should be given the same opportunity irrespective of
their location, caste, and background.
The same curriculum doesn’t employ that the students should be given the elective to
choose from, the opportunities should be the same which should be left up to the
students to groom their interests to proper guidance through qualified teachers or
mentors, the same national curriculum should be for all students around the globe.
We should also consider there would be multiple challenges to make this task possible.
All schools (PUBLIC OR PRIVATE) should have competent teachers which can provide
the students with the needed knowledge by having the same curriculum, subject, and
level of teaching. But all these features can take place with good faculty.
The govt. should also play a role in providing scholarships to the students who are
coming from a low financial background, because if the child is poor then how will it be
able to contract with teachers and pay high fees.
In the world, many companies like Ramboll, Larsen and Toubro(L&T), Williams Sale
Partnership (WSP) etc, provide the employees with a promotion or a considerable hike
to work from the other countries. But their children also will have to study in other
schools, where the subjects are different, the exams are different, the environment
around them is different and the curriculum is also different.
So once the children shift schools then they will need to catch up on the syllabus and
their pending work. So, I would support the motion because the student will be
experiencing any struggle in completing their work or cramming for upcoming
examinations. Another scenario can be vice-versa. Let’s take an example of a child
shifting from Canada To India, then the subjects, the exams, the environment around
them and the school curriculum are different.
