The event and panel of Partners will be


held at the hotel facilities Ca’d’oro São
Paulo located in Rua Augusta, 129 -
Consolação, São Paulo - SP, 01305-
900, Brasil.
The arrival time to the event will be at
8:30 a.m. and the start of the event is
scheduled for 09:00 a.m.

We will be joined by organisations and companies that are partners of


SOS Children's Villages and that have developed joint work with the
organisation. We will also have as guests’ organisations that are currently
developing work focused on cross-cutting topics for SOSCV.
The organisations and companies that will attend this event are:

Methodology:

The panel will be divided into two priority topics:


- Partners Panel 1: Youth Empowerment.
- Partners Panel 2: Family.
A representative of each organisation will participate in each panel and it
will be moderated by three representatives of SOS Children's Villages of
the International Office.
To start the discussion, a brief context of the situation in Latin America of
each of the priority topics will be provided and then the moderators will
begin by proposing questions for the corresponding answers of the
participants.
Panel participants can answer in English and/or Spanish, the event will
have simultaneous translation. (Spanish to English).

Guiding Questions: Panel 1 – Youth Empowerment

- What socio-economic and cultural barriers do young people face in


the region? From your organisation, how do you contribute to the
reduction of those barriers?
- What actions have been taken by your organisation/company to
motivate young people to participate and lead initiatives in the world
of work? What have been the lessons learned?
- From your sector, what do you think are the main challenges to
implementing actions focused on young people?
- How does your organisation/company include policies and/or actions
focused on youth empowerment?
- For joint work, how do you think your organisation/company could
get involved in joint activities to solve the main problems facing
young people today?
Guiding Questions: Panel 2 – Family

- What are the challenges in the region in relation to the situation of


children who have suffered the loss of parental care?
- Does your organisation/company have accompaniment and support
policies for groups in vulnerable situations? If your response is positive,
can you share with us how the policies were built (for example, if they
had a participatory approach with vulnerable groups) and how the staff
was sensitized?
- What is the role of your company/organisation regarding issues of
family separation, does your organisation/company include family-
focused topics within its actions? In the case of the private company,
how does it implement SR policies that contribute to strengthening the
families of its internal stakeholders (employees).
- What is the role of the family in the current era from your sectoral
approach?
- For joint work, how do you think your organisation could get involved
in joint activities to solve the main problems of family separation that
currently arise?
- How to support the processes of children and families of the migrant
population from their companies/organisations?
