The birthday surprise

Jim woke up early. He was quite happy because it was his birthday and he
could hardly wait to see his parents.

When he got down into the kitchen to eat his breakfast, he noticed that there
was nobody home.

Where is everybody? And why did they leave him alone on his birthday? His
mother didn’t prepare any breakfast for him, nobody sang ‘Happy birthday to
you!’.

He was all alone. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. He hoped that there
were his parents, but instead of his beautiful mother and dad, he found a box.

A big , purple box. He took it and went in his room. He tried to open the box but
he failed. After a few minutes, Jim decided to take the box and try to open it
with a knife and the knife was in the kitchen. He had his back to the entrance
door so he couldn't see who was entering, trying to open the box he wasn't
paying attention to what was happening around him.
At that moment his parents entered the house, trying not to make noise so that
Jim would not hear them. They had a big balloon in their hand that said 'Happy
birthday!' and they were followed by Jim's grandparents and cousins who had a
lot gifts in their arms.
They all screamed ‘Happy birthday , Jim!’ , the boy was tricked. His parents
didn’t leave him alone on birthday, they wanted to fool him.
In the box was a big gift for him and a letter from his aunt because she couldn’t
come with his cousins.
After all , Jim’s birthday was fantastic!
