- He is a negotiation strategist and has been doing this for over 30 years.
3. In a single sentence, what is the central theme of this presentation?
- The central theme of the Ted talk is how crucial is listening for negotiations and communication.
4. List two things that you learned by watching this video?
- The first thing that I learned was that for communication there needs to be someone to listen
(no communication without that “second part”). Also that people will be more open to listen to
your ideas if you listen to them.
5. List one thing that surprised you when you watched this video.
- One thing that got me really thinking in this video was the start when it talks about the tree
falling down. It is really interesting how, if there’s no one to listen, there is not an actual noise.
6. List one thing you learned in this video that you will be able to use in the future.
- You have to clear your mind first before you listen to someone. This will help you listen in a
better way and respond accordingly to the situation.
