Re: January 27, 2023 Ethics Caravan at University of Santo Tomas

Dear Fr. Ang, Fr. Abaño, and Dean Divina:

On behalf of the Sub-Committee for the Revision of the Code of Professional

Responsibility, I extend my utmost gratitude to all of you and the entire University of Santo Tomas
family for graciously agreeing to host the final leg of the Ethics Caravan on January 27, 2023.

The Ethics Caravan is aimed to inform the legal community across the country about the
proposed Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability (CPRA) which the Sub-
Committee has recently completed. In addition, the Sub-Committee intends to gather inputs,
comments, and suggestions from our primary audience i.e. the members of the Integrated Bar of
the Philippines (IBP), the Philippine Association of Law Schools (PALS), and civil service
organizations related to the legal field. This consultative endeavor is meant to involve our
participants and listen to their views with the end view of finalizing a timely, relevant, and holistic
CPRA.

The role of the University of Santo Tomas in the Ethics Caravan is immense, nay, arduous.
With your proven exceptional leadership and generous assistance, I have no doubt that this
endeavor would be meaningful and successful.

Again, my heartfelt appreciation for the University of Santo Tomas community. Mabuhay!

Very Truly Yours,

AMY C. LAZARO-JAVIER
Chairperson
