It is used to tell any action
that is to be done in the future
In initive Form of the Verb + Future endings

We will break futur simple into 2 sections.

Section 1 of Futur Simple

• The First part of making Futur


Simple is to write the given
verb.
Example :- Aimer - (in initive
form)

• It is basically the unconjugated


form of the verb.

Future Endings
Section 2 of Futur Simple

• After writing the in initive form


of the verb we add the future
endings.
There are the same regular
endings for the regular 3
groups of verbs (-ER, -IR, -RE)
• Note:- For -RE conjugation we
remove the e and add the /Elles
endings.

Examples
Parler - to speak
Je parlerai (I will speak)
Finir - to inish
Nous inirons (we will inish)
Attendre - to attend (e is removed)
Ils attendront (they will attend)
S’habiller - to dress oneself
Tu t’habillera (you will dress yourself)

Stem Changes in Futur Simple

• There are a few verbs that have


a slight change in the spelling.
• Eg:- Il achèterai

Irregular Futur Simple


• There are irregular verbs in
future simple.
• Only the Stem (in initive) is
changed but the endings
remain the same.
