Selena Gomez is a famous singer and actress. Selena Gomez went to Danny Jones
Middle School. Selena Gomez was known for her starring role on the 2007–12
Disney television series Wizards of Waverly Place and as the singer of such pop hit
songs as “Come & Get It” and “Same Old Love.” Selena Marie Gomez was born on
July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie, Texas, to Ricardo Joel Gomez and Texas-born
former stage actress Mandy Teefey. She was named after Tejano singer Selena
Quintanilla, who died in 1995. Her father is of Mexican descent, while her mother,
who was adopted, has Italian ancestry. In 2003 she started acting in movies and
she did Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. Her character in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over was a
waterpark girl. Selena Gomez dated Justin Bieber on and off for eight years. The
breakup allowed her to learn to "choose herself and choose life again," which
inspired her hit song, "Lose You to Love Me," which she wrote in 45 minutes.
Selena: "I felt haunted by a past relationship." In 2007, Gomez was diagnosed with
the inflammatory disease Lupus and the only way to save her life was through a
kidney transplant. And, like a true friend, Raisa stepped up to volunteer for the
transplant. Once she was found to be a match, she underwent surgery and
