Subject: Physical Education 11

I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standard
Demonstrates understanding of fitness in optimizing one’s health; as requisite for
physical activity assessment performance, and as a career opportunity.

B. Performance Standard
The learner leads fitness events with proficiency and confidence resulting in
independent pursuit and in influencing others positively

C. Learning Competencies
Self-assesses health related fitness (HRF) status, barriers, on physical activity
assessment participation on one’s diet.

At the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to:

1. Discuss the significance of assessing health-related fitness (HRF)


component,
2. Administer self-assessment on health-related fitness (HRF), barriers on
physical activity, and one’s diet; and
3. Reflect on the test results and suggest future plans for improvement.

• Discuss potential legal, social and health consequences of sexual
decision-making

B. Analysis
 What is the significance of assessing health related fitness?

Relationship with Self


 Appreciates their own body:
o understands changes that happen during puberty, and views them as normal
o practices health-promoting behaviors, such as abstinence from alcohol and other drugs
and getting regular check-ups
 Takes responsibility for their own behaviours:
o identifies own values and acts on those values
o understands the consequences of their actions
o understands that media messages can create unrealistic expectations related
to sexuality and intimate relationships
o is able to tell the difference between personal desires from that of their peer group
o understands how alcohol and drugs can affect making decisions 
 Knows about sexual health issues:
o understands the consequences of sexual behaviors
o makes decisions about masturbation that fits with personal values
o makes decisions about sexual behaviors with a partner that fits with personal values
o understands their own gender identity and sexual orientation
o understands the effect of gender role stereotypes and makes choices about the best roles
for themselves
o understands peer and cultural pressure to become sexually involved

VI. EVALUATION
The student will create a brochure on how to lessen the barriers that affects the performance
on physical activity. They will pass their work next week.

VII. ASSIGNMENT

Answer the following questions:


1. On a scale of 1 to 10 how fit do you see yourself? Why?
2. When is the most probable time for you to engage in your own personal workout?
3. List down at least three things that deter you from following a healthy diet.
