1. What is the main point or idea of John Dewey about education and it's function in a society or
community?
Answer: Dewey believed that social interactions were the main source of successful education.
Additionally, he asserts that teachers should instruct students in lessons that are useful in real life and
inspire them to develop into better people. Education, in his view, should be about life and personal
development. Developing young people's intellect, drive, and knowledge to help them become "mature"
and successful citizens capable of passing along culture from one generation to the next, in his opinion,
is one of education's most important functions
Answer: During the Spanish era, the educational system was formal and structured. Missionaries took
the place of tribal tutors in this authoritarian system.
