Pappi:

O Thou forgiving God! Forgive the sins of my loving mother, pardon her shortcomings, cast upon her the
glance of Thy gracious providence, and enable her to gain admittance into Thy Kingdom.

O God! From the earliest days of my life she educated and nurtured me, yet I did not recompense her for her
toil and labours. Do Thou reward her by granting her eternal life and making her exalted in Thy Kingdom.

Verily, Thou art the Forgiver, the Bestower, and the Kind.

Abdu’l‑Baha

Mum:
O Thou Kind Lord! This dearly cherished maidservant was attracted to Thee, and through reflection and
discernment longed to attain Thy presence and enter Thy realms. With tearful eyes she fixed her gaze on
the Kingdom of Mysteries. Many a night she spent in deep communion with Thee, and many a day she lived
in intimate remembrance of Thee. At every morn she was mindful of Thee, and at every eve she centred her
thoughts upon Thee. Like unto a singing nightingale she chanted Thy sacred verses, and like unto a mirror
she sought to reflect Thy light.

O Thou Forgiver of sins! Open Thou the way for this awakened soul to enter Thy Kingdom, and enable this
bird, trained by Thy hand, to soar in the eternal rose garden. She is afire with longing to draw nigh unto
Thee; enable her to attain Thy presence. She is distraught and distressed in separation from Thee; cause
her to be admitted into Thy Heavenly Mansion.

O Lord! We are sinners, but Thou art the Forgiver. We are submerged in the ocean of shortcomings, but
Thou art the Pardoner; the Kind. Forgive our sins and bless us with Thine abundant grace. Grant us the
privilege of beholding Thy Countenance, and give us the chalice of joy and bliss. We are captives of our own
transgressions, and Thou art the King of bountiful favours. We are drowned in a sea of iniquities, and Thou
art the Lord of infinite mercy. Thou art the Giver, the Glorious, the Eternal, the Bounteous; and Thou art the
All-Gracious, the All-Merciful, the Omnipotent, He Who is the Bestower of gifts and the Forgiver of sins.
Verily, Thou art He to Whom we turn for the remission of our failings, He Who is the Lord of Hosts.

Abdu’l-Bahá

Sah Chake:

O my Lord! O my Lord! This is a lamp lighted by the fire of Thy love and ablaze with the flame which is
ignited in the tree of Thy mercy. O my Lord! Increase his enkindlement, heat and flame, with the fire which is
kindled in the Sinai of Thy Manifestation. Verily, Thou art the Confirmer, the Assister, the Powerful, the
Generous, the Loving.
Abdu’l-Bahá

See Chake:

It is seemly that the servant should, after each prayer, supplicate God to bestow mercy and forgiveness
upon his parents. Thereupon God’s call will be raised: “Thousand upon thousand of what thou hast asked for
thy parents shall be thy recompense!” Blessed is he who remembereth his parents when communing with
God. There is, verily, no God but Him, the Mighty, the Well-Beloved.

The Báb

Kor Kor:

O my God! O my God! Unite the hearts of Thy servants, and reveal to them Thy great purpose. May they
follow Thy commandments and abide in Thy law. Help them, O God, in their endeavour, and grant them
strength to serve Thee. O God! Leave them not to themselves, but guide their steps by the light of Thy
knowledge, and cheer their hearts by Thy love. Verily, Thou art their Helper and their Lord.

Bahá’u’lláh

Jinee:
Grant, O my Lord, that they who have ascended unto Thee may repair unto Him Who is the most exalted
Companion, and abide beneath the shadow of the Tabernacle of Thy majesty and the Sanctuary of Thy
glory. Sprinkle, O my Lord, upon them from the ocean of Thy forgiveness what will make them worthy to
abide, so long as Thine own sovereignty endureth, within Thy most exalted kingdom and Thine all-highest
dominion. Potent art Thou to do what pleaseth Thee.

Bahá’u’lláh

Mark:

O my God! O my God! Verily, these servants are turning to Thee, supplicating Thy kingdom of mercy. Verily,
they are attracted by Thy holiness and set aglow with the fire of Thy love, seeking confirmation from Thy
wondrous kingdom, and hoping for attainment in Thy heavenly realm. Verily, they long for the descent of Thy
bestowal, desiring illumination from the Sun of Reality. O Lord! Make them radiant lamps, merciful signs,
fruitful trees and shining stars. May they come forth in Thy service and be connected with Thee by the bonds
and ties of Thy love, longing for the lights of Thy favour. O Lord! Make them signs of guidance, standards of
Thine immortal kingdom, waves of the sea of Thy mercy, mirrors of the light of Thy majesty.

Verily, Thou art the Generous. Verily, Thou art the Merciful. Verily, Thou art the Precious, the Beloved.

Abdu’l-Bahá

Wern Nee, Shan May & Shan Lynn:

Lyrics to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland

Somewhere over the rainbow, Way up high,

There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow, Skies are blue.

And the dreams that you dare to dream,

Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star,

And wake up where the clouds are far behind me.

Where troubles melt like lemon drops,

High above the chimney tops, That's where you'll find me. Somewhere over the rainbow,

Blue birds fly,

Birds fly over the rainbow,

Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly, beyond the rainbow,

Why, oh why can't I?

Yen Nee:
O Thou Omnipotent Lord! We are all held within the mighty grasp of Thy power. Thou art our Supporter and
our Helper. Grant us Thy tender mercy, bestow upon us Thy bounty, open the portals of grace, and cast
upon us the glance of Thy favours. Let a vivifying breeze waft over us, and quicken Thou our yearning
hearts. Illumine our eyes and make the sanctuary of our hearts the envy of every blossoming bower. Rejoice
every soul and gladden every spirit. Reveal Thine ancient power and make manifest Thy great might. Cause
the birds of human souls to soar to new heights, and let Thy confidants in this nether world fathom the
mysteries of Thy Kingdom. Set firm our steps and bestow upon us unwavering hearts. We are sinners, and
Thou art the Ever-Forgiving. We are Thy servants, and Thou art the Sovereign Lord. We are homeless
wanderers, and Thou art our haven and refuge. Graciously aid and assist us to diffuse Thy sweet savours
and to exalt Thy Word. Elevate the station of the dispossessed, and bestow Thine inexhaustible treasure
upon the destitute. Vouchsafe Thy strength unto the weak, and confer heavenly power upon the feeble.
Thou art the Provider, Thou art the Gracious, Thou art the Lord Who ruleth over all things.

Abdu’l-Bahá

Clarissa:

O SON OF MAN! Thou art My dominion and My dominion perisheth not; wherefore fearest thou thy
perishing? Thou art My light and My light shall never be extinguished; why dost thou dread extinction? Thou
art My glory and My glory fadeth not; thou art My robe and My robe shall never be outworn. Abide then in thy
love for Me, that thou mayest find Me in the realm of glory.

Bahá’u’lláh

Alyssa:
O SON OF BEING! Thy Paradise is My love; thy heavenly home, reunion with Me. Enter therein and tarry
not. This is that which hath been destined for thee.

Bahá’u’lláh

Zinzan:

Thou hast asked Me concerning the nature of the soul. Know, verily, that the soul is a sign of God, a
heavenly gem whose reality the most learned of men hath failed to grasp, and whose mystery no mind,
however acute, can ever hope to unravel. It is the first among all created things to declare the excellence of
its Creator, the first to recognize His glory, to cleave to His truth, and to bow down in adoration before Him.

Bahá’u’lláh

Ziki:

O SON OF BEING! Thou art My lamp and My light is in thee. Get thou from it thy radiance and seek none
other than Me. For I have created thee rich and have bountifully shed My favour upon thee.
