SCENE 1:
Narrator: The Tausog people faced a predicament about water supply.
Tausog 1: What shall we do? We don’t have water to drink.
(Unsaon mani uy! Wala naman juy mainom nga tubig ani.)
Tausog 2: Yes, I totally with you! We can’t even take a bath.
(Mao gyud lagi, nah! di nalang gani mi maligo usahay.)
Tausog 1: By the way, we have to attend an assembly, right?
(By the way, naa man diay tay assembly ron no?)
Tausog 2: What shall we do then? I’m not done cooking here because there is no water.
(Ay unsaon mani nato uy, wa pa raba ko kalung-ag kay wa gyuy tubig.)
Tausog 1: It’s okay, we will raise this concern with regards to our situation during the assembly.
(Sige lang, mahisgotan rani atong sitwasyon unya inig assembly.)
Few Moments Later
SCENE 2:
Narrator: The two people went home. They just go to the barangay hall for the Barangay
Assembly.
LGU: What is your current concern or problem right now?
(Unsa man jud ang pinaka main concern o problema ninyu karon?)
Tausog 1: Yes sir, our main problem pertains to water supply.
(Nah! ang among problema jud ani sir kay ang among tubig.)
Tausog 2: That’s right sir, we haven’t taken a bath for a week and we already smell like
carabaos.
(Mao gyud sir baho na kaayu ming kabaw ani pila na ka semana wala mi ligo-ligo.)
LGU: Your right on time, the LGU is proposing a project that could solve the problem with
regards to water supply in our barangay.
(Ay swak gyud kaayu na inyong problema. Kay ang atong LGU nag propose ug
programa para sa water system diri sa atong barangay.)
Tausog 1: What are the things needed on that?
(Ang gamit ana ma’am?)

LGU: You don’t need to problem that, the LGU will cover all the things needed. What we need
and expect is your cooperation
(Ay wa na gyud nay problema kay sagot nana sa LGU tanan ug amo tang gihangyo ang
inyung cooperation.)

Tausog 2: Then, where are we going to put the tanks and hose.
(Dayun sir aha man ang tangke ibutang ug asa man ang hose iagi?)
LGU: Base on our survey, the best option is in madam’s land
(So base sa among pag survey diri jud unta nilang Madam.)
Tausog 1: You sure about that sir? We will be going to have a lot of problem because madam is a
strict person.
(Hala didtu jud sir? Maglisud jud ta ana sir kay strikta kaayu nas madam.)
LGU: Let’s just try to approach her, we will not know until we try.
(Sige, sulayan lang sa nato ug hangyo basin diay mosugot.)
Tausog 2: Okay sir, if ever she won’t agree. Then, that’s it.
(Sige sir kay ug dili mosugot wala gyud tay mahimo ani.)
Tauosg 1: Let’s try to seek help from mayor.
(Mangayo nalang jud mig tabang ni Mayor.)
Narrator: Pagpanguli sa mga tawo tungod sa dakong kalipay. Midiritso gyud sila sa balay ni
Madam.
Tausog 1: Good afternoon maam, we would like to ask something.
(Ayoooooo madam maayung hapon. Naa unta mi toyo ba.)
Madam: What’s the matter, I have a lot of things I need to do. Let’s be quick.
(Oh, unsa mana isulti kay gadali raba ko naa koy gibuhat.)
Tausog 2: We would like to raise the concern about the people having problem with regards to
water supply.
(Naa unta mi ihangyo ba, nagkalisod jud mi ron tungod sa walay tubig.)
Madam: And then, even we experience the same thing. What do you expect me to do? We buy
mineral water to drink.
(Oh dayun? Unsa may matabang nako ana nga kami pud gani namalit ug mineral water.)

Tausog 1: The LGU suggested if you could lend us your land for constructing the water pipes
because of
its convenience
(Gi suggest man gud sa LGU nga pwedi ba ddto sa imong yuta iagi ang water pipes
kay ddto mas convenient.)

Madam: No, I can’t. I need the land for establishing my own store. We haven’t touched that land
for that
sole purpose and you’ll just take it over.
(Nah, dili jud na mahimo kay kadto nga yuta gamitonon kaayo. Wala man gani namo
hilabti kamo na nuon.)
Tausug 2: I’m very sorry madam, were just hoping if you could gave this favor.
(Sige madam, namasin lang pod me ba.)
Scene 4
The Tausug went with a sad expression on their faces.
Narrator: The Tausug seek for mayors help.
Tausug 1: Good morning mayor.
(Maayong buntag mayor.)
Mayor: Good morning, how can I serve you?
(Maayong buntag pod. Unsa may ikaalagad nako ninyo?)
Tausug 2: We would like to ask your assistance to make madam agree in lending her land for
building
the water pipes.
(Mangayo unta meg tabang unsaon namo pagpasugot si madam nga didto sa iyang yuta I
agi ang water pipes. Didto man gud ang mas dali mayor.)
Tausug 1: We don’t have any water we can use for cooking and drinking. We are becoming
financially unstable due to our expenses especially buying water.
(Wala na gyud me mainom ug malung ag mayor. Nabuslot na among bulsa kay kada
adlaw nalang me magpalit ug tubig.)
Mayor: It’s that so? Okay let’s try to find some alternatives. Why wouldn’t she agree with this
project if
It will also benefit them?
(Aw, mao ba? Sige kay pangitaan nalang nato nag pamaagi. Nganog di man sad siya
musugot nga maka benefit man pod siya.)

Tausug 2: They are rich people mayor. They use mineral water for bathing. (Sarcastically stated).
(Datu man gud na sila mayor. Mineral man gale ang kinaligo ana.)
Mayor: Oh, It’s that so?
(Awh hala, mao ba?)
Tausug 1: Mayor, just keep it between us, okay? We are going now.
(Bitaw mayor, ato ato rani hah. Sige adto sa me mayor.)
Mayor: Okay, keep safe.
(Sige maayong pag lakaw.)
Narrator: The mayor thinks of a solution.
Mayor: Day, do you know this person?
(Day, kaila ka ani?)
Secretary: Yes sir, she was the strict individual I knew.
(Ay, oh sir, kaila man ko ana. Kadto manang striktahon.)
Mayor: Is that so? That’s how strong she is? Because her neighbors asked help from me to let
them build those water pipes in her land. The problem is she don’t want to let them do the
project.
(Ayh, mao ba? Gahi gyud diay na siya? Ninghangyo man gud ang iyang mga silingan,
nga didto I agi ang water pipes sa iyang yuta, unya dili man siya musugot nga para mana sa
tanan.)
Secretary: Is that so sir? But her mother is a very good and kind person. They are very close to
each
other. Maybe you could ask help from her, maybe madam will listen if she interferes.
(Mao ba sir? Pero kanang iyang mama sir, but an man kaayo na, kay suod mana sila sa
akong lola. Maypag sa iyang mama mo niya muhangyo kay maminaw pato.)
Mayor: Is that so? Okay, please locate her location and let me know her address. I will try to ask
her help.
(Awh, mao ba? Sige palihog kog locate ug aha gapuyo ni iyang mama kay akong
hangyoon.)
Secretary: Copy sir.
(Sige sir.)
Narrator: (Affective Phase)
The mayor goes to madam’s mother house.
Mayor: Goodafternoon, auntie, I would like to raise some concerns.
(Maayong hapon ante. Naa unta koy tuyo ba.)
Mother: Mayor, what’s up? Come inside, what’s the matter?
(Mayor, ikaw man diay nah. Ali dayun mo, unsa man diay imong tuyo?)
Mayor: Auntie, the people in barangay Labuyo is having a problem with regards to water supply.
Then, we have a project to solve this problem and we need the land of your daughter.
But your daughter is against with it.
(Ante, kanang mga tawo didto sa barangay Labuyo, nagproblema kay walay tubig. Naay
project ang LGU nga tauran silage tubig, unya didto I agi sa yuta sa imong anak. Unya
dili man siya musugot.
Mother: Yes mayor, because she is planning to build her own store on that area.
(Ayh ohh nag plano man gud na siya, nga buhatan niyag tindahan.)
Mayor: Okay auntie, i will offer her an area for establishing the store as an exhchange for the
part of the land we are asking. Because, the people that lived there really need that land.
They problematize this matter for a long time.
(Ayh kuan nalang anti, tagaan nalang nako na siyag area para sa iyang tindahan, kapalit
sa akong gihangyo nga yuta, kay looy man pod tawon ang mga tawo nga nagpuyo didto.
Dugay nani nilang gimulo, pero ikaw ra untay hangyo anti, kay maminaw mana nimo.)
Mother: Okay mayor, No problem.
(Ayh, sige mayor. Walay problema na.)
Narrator: The mother Called her daughter.
Mother: Day, Mayor came here asking permission for the land they want to use in constructing
their project.
(Day, ming anhe si Mayor ganiha bahin sa ipaaging tubig.)
Madam: Mom, I thought you have already known that I’m going to build a store on that land.
(Da oyy! Ma, kabalo naman ka nga himuan nakog tindahan.)
Mother: It’s not like that my child, the current situation of those people living there is pitiful.
Besides, mayor told me that, in exchange of giving them the part of the land, he
will grant you a space in the city for establishing your own store.
(Ayh dili man nak, looy man kaayo ang mga tawo. Usa pa miingon si mayor nga tagaan
ka niyag area didto sa centro, para tukuran sa imong tindahan bansili para sa tukurang
tangke sa tubig.)
Madam: Please just make sure of it, mom.
(I sure jud na ma ha?)
Narrator: The next day, madam visited mayor’s office.
Madam: Good morning mayor! My mother called me yesterday talking about the land you would
use in
Building the tanks and pipes.
(Maayong buntag mayor, nanawag akong mama gahapon bahin anang yuta nga agi an sa
water pipes ug para sa tangke.)
Mayor: Yes madam, if you would agree with our offer. I will make sure to return the favor of
giving me the land by establishing your store.
(Oh madam, kung musugot lage ka, ilisdan ra nako ang yuta nga tukuran nimog
tindahan.)
Madam: That’s the reason why I accepted this offer, just make sure that you will do your
promises.
(Mao lage sir, ming sugot nako. Pero, isiguro lang jud na mayor ha?)
Mayor: You don’t need to be bothered about that, because we will prepare the needed
documents.
(Awh, wala jud nay problema kay kami nay bahala sa resolution ug permit.)
Madam: Okay mayor, thank you!
(Sige, mayor salamat!)
