 do you know? In many different countries, there will be very specific behavioral cultures.

Therefore, I will introduce to everyone the German behavior culture at the party with friends.
The first is the eating culture of the germans, in meals they use a knife and fork, in this
situation you need to hold a knife in your right hand and a fork in your left hand and keep
both in your hand while eating. When you're done eating, place your knife and fork side by
side on your plate facing the center, with the handle on the lower right rim. however if you
are at a barbecue or informal dining then you can eat some foods with your hands like burgers
or hotdogs. Besides, you must not do some things after that, you should not take too much
food because if you do not eat all of it and have leftovers, it will be impolite. while using a
knife and fork, neither of them should be put down except to drink or eat bread. When friends
invite you to eat new foods, you should not refuse, if you are allergic to certain foods, you
should clearly explain the reason to them to avoid losing heart. Germans don't usually use
napkins, but you should keep your napkin in your lap when you eat and use it when needed,
and don't put your napkin on the arm of a chair, but next to your plate. The second is the
culture of opening the party and inviting alcohol at the party. when attending a party before
eating and drinking, the host, host, or someone else says "guten appetit!" which means "enjoy
the meal!" then you just start eating, don't eat first because that will ruin your image in their
eyes. When the party offers alcohol, wait for the host or someone at the party to offer to raise
a glass before starting to drink. Alternatively, you can also toast yourself by saying "prost!" or
"zum wohl!" means congratulations and for your health!. In case you are joining a German
party for the first time, carefully observe what people are doing around or discreetly ask the
hostess what to do during the meal to avoid causing impoliteness at the party. Germany is a
developed country with many diverse cultures and customs and loves a free way of life, but
Germans are highly disciplined and value behavioral culture. Privacy is what they value and
respect the most, so the culture of behavior in the party is considered important for those who
want to study abroad in European countries including Germany. And polite and formal
behavior will make them like you if you are from another country.
