Fingerprint USB drive operation instructions


Thank you for choosing our newly developed fingerprint USB drive. For your convenience
and security, before you start to use the product, please read this manual carefully.
1. Introduction
For the need of advanced security and confidentiality, fingerprint USB drive controls data
access to read or write into a USB drive through fingerprint recognition. This product is aimed
to provide the utmost security of data transported in a USB drive by recognizing user’s
identification through fingerprint information. Fingerprint USB drive is a highly portable,
simply operated, and user friendly device. This unique fingerprint USB is designed by a
hardware encryption technolog y to effectively protect user's information under the exclusive
fingerprint key to access data. The USB also features with a two-in-one port, compatible use for
both computers and mobile phones.
2. Understand fingerprint USB drive

3. How to correctly swipe your finger.

a, Press the first knuckle of your finger to fingerprint sensor, a golden metal bar.
b, let your finger slide smoothly and continually from the first knuckle to your finger tip in
the slide slot.
c, continue to swipe your finger back and forth under a moderate speed, not too fast or too
slow, until the registration process completes .

4. Quick set-up
4.1 First time computer registration
a. Insert your USB drive to a computer, a Red light blinks for several seconds that indicates
your computer is reading this new device and testing any risks, the current status of your
fingerprint USB is normal.
b. A window pops up, under removable devices, click on Fingerprint UDIS Software (F:)/(G:)
(With different computers, it may be named differently. It can be drive F/G/H/I).

c. Click “Enter” to enter into administration interface.


d. On the left side, among three function buttons, Click on "Management".
e. Move up, mark the little grey button, and choose “Admin” as the first time user.
f. Click the “Register” button, press a finger on the fingerprint USB sensor, and swipe your
finger from first knuckle to finger tip in a regular speed completely across the sensor slot.
g. Repeat several times until the registration process completes, a green check mark showed at
the end of the process bar.
h. A Blue light on your USB tur ns ON indicates this USB is registered with a fingerprint.
“Admin” is named as the primary registered the fingerprint. Your fingerprint becomes the only
key to access this USB.
Note: 1. USB requires collection from the identical finger. Please DO NOT switch to another
finger in the middle of a new registration process.
4.2 Connect to a cell phone (Android)
Note:
1. a new USB always needs to use a computer to register a fingerprint for this USB to be
ready to use. (See 4.1 above)
2. Requirements: Phone hardware needs to support (On The Go) function.

4.2.1 USB Two-in-one port instructions

a. In the above left picture, pull out the micro USB, the little piece with a blue bar as showed
in number 1 position; the micro USB port supports cell phone use (requires cell phones to
support OTG technolog y)
b. In the above right picture, press the square blue button, push the micro USB port back into
place; regular USB port supports computer use.
4.2.2 Connect fingerprint USB to your cell phone
a. Blue light and Red light both tur ns on, indicates a fingerprint is registered in this USB.
b. Swipe your registered finger several times; Blue light goes off, Red light start fast blinking,
fingerprint matched, verification process completes, the fingerprint USB is unlocked and ready to
use.
c. Swipe your registered finger several times; both Blue light and Red light continually stay on,
fingerprint mismatched, verification process failed, keep trying or switch to a different finger.
5. Access a registered fingerprint USB as a retur n user
a. Insert fingerprint USB, Blue light and Red light both tur n on, a fingerprint is stored in this
USB
b. Verification: swipe the registered finger to match with records, blue LED light goes off
means verification is successful; USB has been unlocked, and is ready to use.
c. Otherwise please repeat it or try a different finger until the fingerprint is recognized.
6. Add another fingerprint
a. Insert USB, Blue light and Red light both tur n on, the current status of this fingerprint
USB: registered with a fingerprint
b. A window pops up, under removable devices, click on Fingerprint UDIS Software (F:)/(G:)
(With different computers, it may be named differently. It can be drive F/G/H/I/).
c. click “Enter” to enter into administration interface.
d. On the left side, select "Verify", and then move to the right, click the grey bar “verify” to
start the verification process of the administrator fingerprint.
e. Fingerprint USB verification: Swipe the registered finger for several times to match with
records, Blue light goes off indicates verification is successful, otherwise please repeat it or
switch to a different finger until the fingerprint is recognized.
f. After the USB verifies the registered fingerprint, move your mouse to the left side and
choose “register“button.
g. Click on "Null", swipe another finger to register with USB. Press a finger on the fingerprint
USB sensor, swipe your finger from first knuckle to finger tip in a regular speed.
h. Repeat several times until the registration process completes, a green check mark shows at the
end of the process bar, a pop-up window indicates user to name the second fingerprint.
i. A named fingerprint replaces the “null” option when a new fingerprint successfully added in.
7. Remove fingerprints
a. Insert USB, Blue light and Red light both tur n on, the current status of this fingerprint
USB: registered with a fingerprint
b. A window pops up, under removable devices, click on Fingerprint UDIS Software (F:)/(G:).
(With different computers, it may be named differently. It can be drive F/G/H/I/).
c. click “Enter” to enter into administration interface.
d. On the left side, select "Verify", and then move to the right, click the grey bar “verify” to
start the verification process of the administrator fingerprint.
e. Fingerprint USB verification: Swipe the registered finger for several times to match with
records, Blue light goes off indicates verification is successful, otherwise please repeat it or
switch to a different finger until the fingerprint is recognized.
f. After the USB verifies the registered fingerprint, move your mouse to the left side and
choose “register” button.
g. Delete other fingerprints: after verification process, click the name of the fingerprint you
want to delete, and then click the grey button “Delete”, a green check mark shows process
completed.
h. Delete administrator fingerprint: this action will lead to a complete removal of all
registered fingerprints. Make sure you erase all confidential information stored in your USB
drive. Under this situation, another user is able to start a new registration to gain informat ion
from this USB. (Not recommended)

Responding light status description
a. Fingerprint application indicator light, Blue LED
Blue light on indicates at least one fingerprint is previously registered with this USB. To open
this USB drive, a matched fingerprint is needed.
b. USB read-and-write indicator light, Red LED
Red light on indicates a computer or a cell phone is reading USB drive.

11. FAQs
1. The registration time limits
Time-out processing: if a user does not complete the registration within the time limit,
system automatically exits at the end. If a user completes the registration within the time limit,
system exits out ahead of time.
2. How to determine when to swipe a finger
Click on "Register" button, time start to count, users need to swipe a finger several times for
the first time and focus on the Blue light (fingerprint application indicator light). Blue light ON,
prompts the user to swipe the finger; Blue light OFF, registration completes.
3. How to determine the fingerprint authorization succeeded
Insert USB, blue light and red light are ON. Blue light indicates the current USB has a
fingerprint saved, known as the administrator. When the user swipes a finger, blue light goes off
indicating that the user fingerprint match is found. Otherwise repeat swiping your finger until
the authorization completed.
4. Who has the right to add or delete a fingerprint?
Only the administrator has the authority to add or delete a fingerprint.
