1.) How can the mainstream media help us be more culturally aware? And what
are the advantages and disadvantages?

- Mainstream media plays a critical role towards fostering awareness on a global scale. As
part of their duties to deliver information, they must do it in the most objective nature, as
they are responsible for influencing beliefs & stimulating discourse amongst the citizens,
to avoid propaganda, misrepresentation, and the wrong shaping of prevailing currents of
thought of the targeted audience. In terms of it's pros and cons, Mainstream media has
spurred for networking on a massive scale, keeping those far from our reach, digitally
close with the gift of communication. As for the disadvantages it gives rise to, mainstream
media serves as a hotspot for exploitation, being manipulated by elitist groups to serve
their personal interest at the cost of impartiality. Having that said, there is much more to
mainstream media, this write-up but scratches the surface of the many factors to take
into consideration when in the context of cultural awareness.

2.) Why is it important for us to know and understand different religions?

- To put it concisely, religion powerfully influences peoples behavior and approach to life.
Taking into consideration how there are a wide variety of these, whether it be Christianity,
Hinduism, or Sikhism, it is undeniable that each of these have positively influenced
peoples behaviors and approach to life, from helping to establish a set of principles, the
capability of weighing good and evil, to having a wider perspective on existence and
applying ethics in life.

3.) Describe the beneficial effects of technology in terms of cultural awareness.

- As the advancement of technology emerged, the platforms in which citizens can access
information has broadened significantly. Now, with easier access to information, the
general population has transformed to be more aware, whether it be culturally,
religiously, politically, or economically. This in which, birthed one of the greatest feats for
humanity in what could be called a global maturation. Specifically put, people are
gradually becoming more understanding of the fact that other people have different
beliefs, values, and customs thus breaking barriers and paving way to a more unified
world.
