Welcome to Course 3 on strategic sourcing. This course is going to provide you a very detailed overview
of a strategic sourcing process. It's a seven-step process, we'll talk a little more about it in the next
video. But basically, you're going to be profiling a category that you're working in, you're going to
develop a category sourcing strategy, or you're going to generate what kind of suppliers you're looking
for, you're going to choose how you're going to go into work with these suppliers and/or negotiate, or
maybe supplier development. Then you got to select the suppliers, negotiate, implement what you've
decided to do, and then lastly, some form of continuous improvement, or sometimes called supplier
relationship management. This course will be supported by videos, readings, and there will be required
case at the end of the course with a peer review. Let's get started in Course number 3.
