define "Look cinema" and "Beurs cinema"

-“look cinema”: It’s the type of films that are obsessed with visuals, The general preference of
Cinéma du Look, in this argument, seems to be for the image over the characters and the plot and
characters are described as superficial … It’s the type of cinema that usually uses strong colour
washes, impressionistic splashes of light or gimmicky devices like point-of-view shots. We can argue
that rebellion is an integral ingredient in cinema du look , the protagonist of these films are often
young people living at the edges of society,using drugs working low wages jobs or simply not working
,living in cabins or literally underground.. leos carax’s “les amants du pont-neuf”is a great example
which describes people who meet by chance on a paris street and sleep on the pont-neuf bridge…
They drink ,steal a police and break into places ;apartments and art galleries ..their existence is all
about transgression.

-“Beurs cinema”: Beur cinema is a genre of film made by young filmmakers of North African descent,
more accurately filmmakers of Maghrebi who grew up in France.these individuals mainly focus on
how racism is formulated by representing or analyzing factual chronicles on racism compositions that
direct all forms of people’s suffering .
