a theory in education which posits that individuals or learners do not


acquire knowledge and understanding by passively perceiving it within a direct process
of knowledge transmission, rather they construct new understandings and knowledge
through experience and social discourse, integrating new information with what they already know
(prior knowledge)

Integrative learning is an approach where the learner brings together prior knowledge and experiences to support
new knowledge and experiences.

Reflective Learning allows for the recall of a lived experience to help develop
critical thinking skills and improve future actions due to the analysis of the
lived experience. Reflective Learning is the exploration of experiences in
order to make human beings more aware of their actions. - JOHN DEWEY

Collaborative learning theory is rooted in Lev Vygotsky’s idea, Zone of Proximal


Development. Here, learners rely on one another to accomplish tasks that they
otherwise wouldn’t be able to complete individually.
