the customer.
(1) Be sure that no built-in protective devices are
defective or have been defeated during servicing.
(1)Protective shields are provided to protect both
the technician and the customer. Correctly replace
all missing protective shields, including any
removed for servicing convenience.
(2)When reinstalling the chassis and/or other
assembly in the cabinet, be sure to put back in place
all protective devices, including, but not limited to,
nonmetallic control knobs, insulating fish papers,
adjustment and compartment covers/shields, and
isolation resistor/capacitor networks. Do not operate
this instrument or permit it to be operated without
all protective devices correctly installed and
functioning.

(1) Immediately before handling any semiconductor

component or semiconductor-equipped assembly,
drain off any electrostatic charge on your body by
touching a known earth ground. Alternatively,
obtain and wear a commercially available
discharging wrist strap device, which should be
removed for potential shock reasons prior to
applying power to the unit under test.

(2) After removing an electrical assembly equipped

with ESD devices, place the assembly on a
conductive surface such as aluminum foil, to
prevent electrostatic
charge buildup or exposure of the assembly.

(3) Use only a grounded-tip soldering iron to solder or

unsolder ESD devices.

(4) Use only an anti-static solder removal devices.

Some solder removal devices not classified as
“anti-static” can generate electrical charges suffi

(5) Do not use freon-propelled chemicals. These can

generate electrical charges sufficient to damage
ESD devices.

(6) Do not remove a replacement ESD device from its

protective package until immediately before your
are ready to install it.(Most replacement ESD
devices are packaged with leads electrically shorted
together by conductive foam, aluminum foil or
comparable conductive materials).

(7) Immediately before removing the protective

materials from the leads of a replacement ESD
device, touch the protective material to the
chassis or circuit assembly into which the device
will be installed.

Samsung Page 60
Trouble Shooting
Cauition

Why Origin and Flip are different is the camera of the mechanic’s location is not centre.
- Matching based on released distance from the Tilt’s central axis of the camera.

On calibration, Tilt is OK but Pan is not correct on the display.

- physical calibration is adjusted to Tilt. So it’s normal.
- Pan Calibration value is just adjusted on Privacy Mask.

If Tilt Calibration value is over +-2200, Tilt Recovery occurs.

- Due to excessive error gap, Software calibration is impossible.
- Needs mechanic/zoom module’s reassembly.

Rework with Calibration

- On Seq.6, calibration value is initialized if you finish with inputting 209(Seq.8) on Flip done situation.
that you don’t adjust the position. (Check with this command ‘Accuracy CGI 210’. Value under 10)
- After then, reboot the product. Try it again from 1.

9-2 Focus adjustment method using the focus chart

• Summary : The focus adjustment measure at the installation field of mega-level CCTV camera using the focus chart
A chart in the following shape is called the focus chart or tracking chart. <Fig. 9-1> The focus chart
has been used for the purpose of camera development including the Pint adjustment of VCL. However,
since the CCTV market has been reorganized based on
Mega Pixel Camera recently, there has been frequently difficulties in the focus adjustment at the field installation, so
the field installation measure using the focus chart is suggested as a countermeasure.

Fig. 9-1 Focus Chart

• Purpose of use: Mega-level CCTV Camera Lens with no Simple Focus(AF) function

• Way of use
1. Print the Focus Chart at the size of A0~A1 according to the installation environments.
→ Attach it to a strong plywood board (paper).
→ Produce it to be folded into 1/4 size to carry, and unfold it to use.
2. Place the focus chart in the position to take the focus. The matter that requires attention at this time is that the focus chart should
be placed at or near the center if possible.
*When the focus adjustment is carried out at the end of screen, the deviation between the left and right sides may occur.
3. Carry out the camera focus adjustment by adjusting the focus lever of the lens. At this time, the central part of focus chart on the
screen becomes blurry in circle shape, and the position of the smallest circle formed is the best focus.

Fig. 9-2 Best Focus

It is impossible to use it in case of printing the focus chart too small or the target position for focusing too far.
