Relationship between wealth and power ?

Wealth generates greater capacity to produce consumption goods, adding to a group's


power to survive; and in every case, one feature of this “power” is the ability to induce or
force those lacking in wealth to devote their efforts and lives to the augmentation of
wealth-assets held by others.

Equitable access to resources and opportunities

The Equitable Access to Resources (EAR) portion of the Equity and Achievement Framework
examines how well the system and schools are using staff, time and money as measured by
student outcomes, with emphasis on the performance of the five focus groups.

They would be assessed on the bases of the following:


● Understanding of differences between wealth and power
● how wealth and power are related
● system of distribution of wealth in the community
● impact of distribution of wealth on communities and
individuals
● Identification of resources and access of resources to
different communities
● Changes that equitable access to resources and
opportunities can bring in the world. Their Thinking Skills will be assessed.
