CTS1133 CeL Mod01 Lab01 StudentNotesv2
• Step 10: A common issue is regarding Lab Tables 14.1 and 14.2. Table 14.1 is to be
used as a reference on where to find particular Control Panels. Table 14.2 is to be
completed and answered by you exploring the various Control Panels.
• Step 12: In NETLAB+, you do have to click Change Display Settings to answer the
question.
• Step 14: The only option that works is Photos because of the VMware graphics card
installed.
• Step 19: Cannot be answered because NETLAB+ computers are not connected to the
Internet.
• Step 26: Cannot be answered because NETLAB+ computers are not connected to the
Internet.
• Step 27: Cannot be done with a classmate, but you have two Windows 7 computers
at your disposal. Use a Control Panel to determine the computer name assigned to
both NETLAB+ computers. Document it as requested for both computers. Proceed to
Step 28.
• Step 28: Definitely requires enabling network discovery in the NETLAB+
environment. Another way for doing it than the way shown is to search for the other
Windows 7 computer by typing the name in the Search textbox. When the computer
can’t find it, select the Network option in the left pane. A message appears up top
that you have to have network discovery on to allow your computer to be seen by
other computers. Select this option. Do the same on the other computer.
• Step 35: Because you are saving to the hard drive, a dialog box does appear when
you press the Delete key in the middle of the step. Select the Yes button to place the
file in the Recycle Bin.
• Step 9: You cannot do in NETLAB+ since there is only one tile showing.
• No notes
• Step 9: The option is simply Show more tiles. Also the second question
that follows is Occasionally show suggestions in Start.
• Step 12: Start button menu (not Start screen).
• Step 16: You can't do with just two tiles in NETLAB+.
• Steps 26 to 30: Skip these steps. You cannot do these in NETLAB+.
• Step 33: If you cannot see the View option, click on the Start button
again to see the desktop, not tiles.
