1.0 Introduction

 BellaBot is an attitudes waitress. At the CES technology exhibition in Las Vegas, a
robotic cat ferrying a food platter for restaurant patrons was presented. BellaBot, a robot created
by the China company PuduTech, was one of several unusual robots on display at this year's
event. The BellaBot robot, which resembles a cat, has an attractive appearance and is well-
integrated into the technological world. The BellaBot cat robot is Pudu Robotics' first full-
dimensional delivery robot with sensors, and it has a multi-modal interaction system. The robot
has four layers of food trays, each of which can contain 10 kg, as well as an autonomous
navigation system, PuduSLAM algorithms, and a touch screen for receiving orders. BellaBot
automatically moves around the restaurant, meowing as customers enter and encouraging them
to pick up food. The upper surface of the robot is equipped with touch sensors. As individuals
interact with the robot in various ways, the robot's facial expressions also change. When you
touch her ears, different expressions will appear on the screen to interact with the guests (Amit
Malewar, 2020).

Pudu Robotics is founded in 2016 (Pudu, 2022) in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China by Tao
Zhang. The mission of the company is to improve human productivity, quality of life and liberate
workers from laborious jobs through the use of robots. Since its establishment, Pudu Robotics
has been focusing of R&D, which they won multiple awards such as Red Dot. Additionally,
PuduTech has 8 investors which includes Greater Bay, Area Homeland Development Fund and
Sequoia Capital China. PuduTech has raised $184.2M in Sep 23, 2021 (Crunchbase, 2022).

Pudu Robotics has been growing abruptly in the global market with the coverage of over
60 countries worldwide. PuduTech robots has been applied in restaurant, coffee shop, hospital,
office building, shopping mall, hotel and factories, but out of all, Pudu Robotics used the
catering industry as an entry point which introduced the first tide of artificial intelligence era
traditional industries, this helps catering clients reorganize their work system by facilitating
intelligent management, effective operation and standardized servicing (Pudu, 2022).

Dual SLAM Solution for Full Coverage in Any Situation is an industry first

For a larger variety of circumstances, BellaBot offers both Laser SLAM and Visual SLAM
positioning and navigation options. Both methods are precise and simple to use, and BellaBot's
positioning solutions give the same excellent user experience. BellaBot's customer-centric

 LiDAR SLAM
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) determines the distance to the object (such as a
wall or chair leg) by lighting it with an active laser "pulse." LiDAR is a quick and precise
method that may be employed in a variety of situations and conditions. This approach
produces an extremely accurate laser sensor point cloud (GeoSLAM, 2022).

 Visual SLAM
The Visual Slam system works by triangulating their 3D locations with repeated camera
frame tracking interrogation techniques and approximating the camera pose with this
knowledge. It is feasible to quickly determine the orientation of the sensor and the

 structure of the surrounding physical world if a significant number of points are
monitored during each frame (Vision Online Marketing Team, 2018).

Obstacle Avoidance in Three Dimensions (3D)

BellaBot is equipped with 3D sensors and a redesigned modular chassis in order to improve
safety. When it comes to impediments, they can halt at any angle and move away. The minimal
object detection height for Bellabot is 2cm. The frequency of obstacle detection may be up to
5400 times per minute. Up to 192.64 degrees of front detecting angle. The front obstacle
detection range is above 10 meters.

RGBD

BellaBot has the strongest three-dimensional perception to date thanks to a 3* RGBD depth
camera. It can properly identify and stop when it comes across impediments in as little as 0.5
seconds.

PUDU Scheduler

The PUDU SCHEDULER algorithm architecture and communication scheme are decentralised
and adaptable ad hoc network communication schemes. Each robot can connect directly with any
other robot in the network, as well as swiftly compute and make judgments. Such a solution
decreases network needs, eliminates the need for a central processing node with high computing
capacity, and brings people closer together.

Power exchange technology

BellaBot works around the clock and has a quicker battery change so it can perform better on

II. BellaBot is more deliveries

In a restaurant, BellaBot can deliver around 400 meals and beverages in a single day. In
almost the same length of time, a waiter might bring 200-300 dinners. Waiters may focus
on other tasks while BellaBot delivers the meal. Waiters may devote their complete
attention to clients for example, welcoming them and proposing local cuisine, increasing
customer satisfaction.

Daily maintenance for BellaBot is important and necessary. According to the instructions
given by the Pudu supplier, use a dry and clean cloth to wipe its tray at least once a week.
Sometimes it is necessary to lift the robot because needs to clean the food residue. Next,
BellaBot has an eye! The sensor lens can bring it anywhere, use a soft tissue or another lens
cleaner for cleaning every week. If the sensors are blocked that will cause abnormal product
running. Then, BellaBot’s body is also kept clean. For example, do not lift, climb, bump, push,
or break it. If it operates abnormally, just call the hotline on the official website and let the
technical support engineers come and serve immediately (Manualslib, 2022).

7.0 Technology support

BellaBot’s company -Pudu Technology was undertaken and posted on their official
website that from the date of product sale, they will give a free product warranty service during
the one-year warranty period. Furthermore, different parts of the product will be under different
warranty periods. During the warranty period, the customer does not have to pay any fees or
payments for repair or maintenance products. After the warranty period expires, the repair fees
will be charged according to the normal price. Not only does 24-hour speed maintenance
BellaBot, yet they also provide free customized deployment plans and free remote upgrades.
Meanwhile, their customer service hotline was on their official website (Pudu, n.d.).

8.0 User training

Pudu will send a Pudu BellaBot BL100 User Manual, which includes how to use, system
settings, service features, etc. Pudu also offers a remote online tutorial service to help users better
understand how to use the Bellabot, and users will even receive a video tutorial from Pudu
(Manualslib, 2022).

BellaBot is a very good invention in this generation of science and technology. In this
pandemic of Covid-19, use it can keep a wonderful social distancing and contactless between
employees and customers. Each of its' four trays has a 10kg weight limit. Meanwhile, BellaBot is
not only can work and help in the hotel restaurant. If get the patients requiring isolation in this
hotel due to they are diagnosed in Covid-19, BellaBot is also can support delivery the food
achieve reduce contact employee with patient. An autonomous service robot BellaBot’s price is
$20,000 equal to RM879,600 (Alibaba, 2020). It is a very cheap running cost, approximately $5
per day (Medical search, n.d.)!

Next, a good brand will definitely have competitors. Reeman Robot Waiter is also a
delivery service robot, the places where it is mainly used for work are all in China. It is also can
use in hotel or restaurant. The Reeman Robot Waiter will automatically return to charging when
the battery is low. But it only have 70cm aisle range, can not take a lot of food delivery to
customers. At the same time, it is only have three trays for service. The price of Reeman Robot
Waiter is $8,980 equal to RM 39,494 (Reeman Robot, n.d.).
