1. In to which one do you see yourself in - a Businessman or an Entrepreneur? Justify your
answer (25pts)
When I was a junior high school student taking a special science class from seventh to tenth
grade, we were all required to conduct our own science research project. Whether it be in the
fields of life science, physical science, programming, or robotics, we are all expected to produce
innovations. We must also create products that are radically distinct from those that have already
been invented. May they be original inventions or ones we have made by ourselves. I sometimes
view myself as someone who can think outside the box because I've become familiarized with
this kind of routine in academics, or so I presume.
Although I believe that I would be more driven by profit and profit-oriented than by the
capacity to satisfy needs and service-oriented, I still consider myself to be an entrepreneur
because I possess several characteristics of an entrepreneur than those of a businessman. One of
these traits is my conviction in the value of teamwork and my need to develop others' trust in
order to succeed. I am also cooperating by putting more of an emphasis on working as partners
with competitors than on competing. And as a result, I prefer team decision making. As a risk-
taker myself, I will pursue opportunities regardless of risks as long as something sparks my
passion,
Moreover, making money shouldn't be the only goal of an entrepreneur; they should also
work to make the world a better place. It ought to be about improving life for everyone, not just
for ourselves. Entrepreneurs are indeed leaders and I consider myself to be one. I possess natural
leadership qualities and the capacity to motivate, influence, and inspire those around me.
The characteristics of an entrepreneur that I might apply to myself are optimism, risk-taking,
goal mindset, persuasiveness, creativity and motivation.
Optimism
Risk-taking
I don’t ask myself whether or not I will succeed – I believe I will. Due to my strong belief
that taking risks will pay off, I am able to do so because of my innate confidence.
Goal Mindset
I am setting my goals and putting everything I have into achieving them. I'll get rid of
any barriers in my way because I'm committed to seeing myself succeed. I also have a tendency
to be strategic in my game plans and have a distinct understanding of what I want to accomplish
and how I plan to do it.
Persuasiveness
Creativity
When I have to make a significant choice or take action on a fresh concept, creativity is
helpful. Unexpected challenges must be faced head-on. Creativity can be very beneficial when
I'm trying to overcome these challenges. I can, of course, approach problems methodically, but
doing so all the time, especially for my significant issues, can be time-consuming. Having my
creativity, I can get things done quickly. It gives me the courage to think creatively and find
innovative solutions. When time is short and deadlines are long, creativity can be a lifesaver.
Motivation
The reason(s) that compel someone to keep attempting and working are referred to as
motivation. When things get difficult and discouraging, it brings hope and clarity. Thus, the
decision to start new things is fundamentally influenced by motivation.
I think it's important for me to interact and work with motivated people. I am able to
inspire others to support my idea as well as understand, tap into, and sustain my own motivation
for starting new things. Motivation is essential to keeping myself focused on my mission and
striving to fulfill it.
3. In your own understanding based on the discussion about Entrepreneurship, what do you
think is the relevance of the topic (Entrepreneurship) to your course or strand? (50pts)
