During my second time job shadowing my mentor, I got to witness what it was like to be

in a courtroom on plea bargaining days. This prompted me to want to know more about

plea bargaining, and how common it is in the US, and I got to see how often they are

used, getting quick and the most convenient sentences for the person. The website states

that it is not just common in Greenville, plea bargaining actually accounts for roughly

90% of all criminal cases.

After reviewing the website, I have found it to be very insightful. It breaks down all the

aspects of plea bargaining, such as how common they are, if someone can back out of

one, if they’re a good idea or not, the types of them, and more. This website seems

credible because it just states the facts and statistics, and it is a database for people to get

information that can be used for their benefit. For that reason, I think it is useful and

credible.

I found this website to be very helpful in broadening my knowledge so far. The fact of the

matter is that I need to know everything I can about law if I am going to be going into it
one day. This website provided information that has helped me broaden my knowledge

about plea bargaining, so I can have a better understanding of what it is that goes into an

attorney’s day to day activities.
