Youth Exchange · Barcelona, 15-21 Dec 2022

What is a youth exchange?

Compared to the well-known formal learning we experienced in school or
university, during youth exchanges you can expect to participate in workshops,
exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities, theatre, and art tools based on
non-formal and informal learning methods.

Youth exchanges are educational programs that help young people challenge
their worldview, improve their English speaking skills, gain confidence, and
strengthen values such as solidarity, democracy, as well as discover new
cultures, habits, and lifestyles in a safe environment.

You get the chance to meet a lot of new people, participate in activities, and step
outside of your comfort zone. Don’t be afraid to make some mistakes, to be
ridiculous, to laugh at yourself and others. Enjoy this unique learning process
that is in front of you.
About this project
“It's like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the
time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.”
Patrick Rothfuss

This project tackles the topic of social exclusion/social inclusion by using the
method of Digital Storytelling. Participants will try a set of fun, creative, offline,
and digital tools to be able to express and share their views on social questions,
keeping in mind the importance of different narratives. Together, we will explore
the topics of “Prejudices, stereotypes, social exclusion”, and “The danger of a
single story” aiming to discuss and reflect on real questions about social
inclusion. Using a collaborative creative process that will allow us to process,
filter, and shape the new information and create unique stories told and shared
on a digital platform.
Goals of the project

society in a creative way.
